Mediocre in midtown
Hotel very dated. TV in room only if you have your own Netflix or YouTube. Nonstandard tv. No services. Viewing area on17th floor extremely poorly decorated or attractive.

Hotel was OK (you get what you pay for ) The major issue was the heating unit that was located next to the bed . My best guess is there an internal door mechanism to close the vent once it reaches the set room temperature then stops running. When this mechanism closed it could be compared a large stainless steel pot thrown down a metal staircase. It was beyond nerve racking because it would go off randomly all night. We ended up turning off the heater so we could get some sleep. We let a building maintenance worker know and the front desk. Nothing was done to address the issue nor we were offered any resolutions so my advice would be to buy earplugs or request extra blankets and bring flannel pajamas

Very good spot to stay. Everything was within walking access will try to stay around the area next time. Rooms don’t have mini fridge or hand soap. Coffee maker was very dirty were water gets pour In. Other then that good spot to stay.

Location was excellent, very close to subway, and walkable to many locations. Surrounding dining are options are mostly very expensive, but area is very safe. Hotel interior and rooms was dated, but priced appropriately. All staff very were very friendly.

There is no television - you have to log in to your own netflix account and then you get kicked off saying no internet and then have to log in again. - non-stop. Also - I reserved a standard room with a balcony - paid more for it and got a room with no balcony. Was told thats what they received from expedia so that was that.

Hotel 57 is in a very old building that is run down. The heater in my room didn't work. Water pressure was low. They DO NOT PROVIDE TV in the room -- only Youtube and Netflix, if you can believe that in 2024. NO CHANNELS on the TV. They have a dining area but it's closed as several months ago they stopped serving any kind of breakfast -- not even a simple self-serve. A crummy experience.

Room was not properly stocked
I liked the hotel's location and check in was easy. Our room was nice and the bed was comfortable. In the morning, there were a few major disappointments. In the shower, I discovered there was no shampoo in the dispenser and no other shampoo was provided. After getting dressed, I tried to make coffee. There was a small coffee maker in the closet and a tray with a few supplies. Unfortunately, there was no coffee, just two packs of decaf. Also, there was no creamer supplied. This could have been a nice experience, but whomever does quality control in room preparation needs a bit of "re-training." When I checked out, the front desk did not ask me how everything was, so I didn't bring it up - I mean, what's the point as we were leaving.

Its next to a club that is blasting techno till 4am. The walls are just vibrating and the music is insanly loud. Dont recommend unless you like not sleeping.
