Stayed here in between Christmas and New Years. At $800 per night I expected more. Place is fine. When we arrived our rooms deadbolt didn’t work (looked like someone broke into the room with a large screw driver or crowbar), so we had to call the front desk. The “Front desk” button on the room phone DOES NOT get you the front desk at the hotel, it brings you to Mariott’s customer service center (nightmare), I couldn’t understand a thing the woman was saying to me. Anyway after a walk down to the front desk a couple Service guys came and fixed it quickly, no complaints there, very nice. The room is nothing fancy, 2 beds and just enough space to walk around each one, that’s it. Bathroom was good size for Manhattan but the wallpaper was coming off the wall, the grout in the shower tile was super dirty. For $125 a night I’d say this place would be great, at $800 not so much. Close to Bryant Park (3) 3 blocks about 8 min walk. Elevators at times would take 5 minutes to stop empty enough to actually get into. All in all this is a 3/5 at best. But it’s NYC….

I loved the breakfast area and the the cleanliness of the hotel. Only problem was trying to unload our car out in front of the hotel was hard as they was no open parking spot to pull over into.

We booked the hotel for a 3 nights stay because of the central location in Manhattan, so that we can walk and explore the city. It is close to the Empire State building, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Central Park. This was perfect for us. The hotel staff was great and chick in was very easy. The lobby was nice and clean. We booked a room with a king bed and the room was supper small, there was no need for a king bed in such a small room. The bed was very comfortable. We had no room to put our bags anywhere and were almost stepping over them. A queen bed would have been much better suited for the size of the room. The carpet needed some cleaning but was not too bad. The bathroom was very clean and good size. Breakfast was included and it was really great, with lots of choices. The ice machine is in the basement which is a disaster as this is where all the cleaning supplies and rooms are and there were things placed everywhere. You had to navigate through the hall to get to the ice machine. Overall the hotel was decent, but would have expected more for of a bigger room the price. But we were not there to stay in the room but to visit NYC. It is more suited for a single person then for a couple.

Gave me a Handicap room. I didn’t ask for that. Also I requested a room on a high floor, I was on the 4th floor and I think I paid extra for high floor. Requested a late check out of 1pm opposed to 12pm and they said it cost $150 for late check out until 4… I just needed an extra hour.

The location was what we needed for a quick stay on the west side. Midtown in general is not my favorite. The staff is incredible. Every member that I interacted with was lovely. The room was tiny and carpeted which was a bit yucky. I booked with Expedia so maybe there are better rooms. The free breakfast was GREAT! That was a really nice perk and saved us from going out, wasting time and spending a lot!

Check in was easy. The breakfast area was picked up and cleaned as needed. The food was typical complimentary food, but it seemed to be a step above the average in terms of looks and taste. There was a complimentary punch in the lobby that was delicious and the perfect refresher when returning after a busy day. Construction was going on, but it didn't interfere with our stay.
