I travel for business and I enjoy staying at this property. Centrally located in midtown you can walk everywhere and public transportation is easily accessible. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. This property is a winner!!

The worst experience i have had from a hotel ever! I was flying into nyc to help my daughter intake at a hospital/ faculty to have her medication adjusted/stabilized before she went back to school for the semester. I paid for about 6 days in advance and made sure she hadall the information. Due to the weather conditions, flight delays etc. I knew it will be ok, she has aĺl the info she needs to check us. We all ready agreed on the plan. Little did i know that they wouldnt let her check in because shes 20! Apparently you must be 21! I never saw that info. Seriously! Everything paid for. She had the majority of her things with her and was stuck in a hotel lobby riding buses to nowhere and back. Of course shes frantic and really has no idea what she could too. I texted the hotel thru expedia, told them what had happened etc. Not even 15 minutes lateri got a call from the hotel wanting to know if i was checking.in. i I told her happened and was expecting a refund. With less then a few seconds i was told i had to go thru expedia! So not only was my daughter rejected, she was lost and left to her own demise. I got to nyc and called her. She was frantic, cold and didnt know what to do. We did find each other and obviously she didnt want to go back to.the hotel! So know my daughter is safe and being treated at an inpatient faculty! . BE aware how they. Treated her and didnt assist help in anyway!

Always a pleasure to stay at the City Club. Especially when I’m fortunate enough to get one of the duplex suites for the price of standard rooms at most other hotels in the city - well-appointed, extremely comfortable and luxurious. The water pressure is a little unpredictable, I wish there was a bathtub, and the bluetooth alarm clock/speaker didn’t want to connect to my phone but otherwise a top tier experience. Ive stayed here many times it’s great for a staycation or a private romantic interlude. Low-key, very friendly staff, easy check in, clean with excellent appointments like the ac/heat, bidet and dimmable lighting throughout.

Check-in took a bit longer, I think the gal at the front desk was new, she charged me another $200. which I will be disputing, i purchased the stay online hotels.com and was paid. we get to our room and I immediately get a call from front desk that they forgot make a copy of my CC.. There were 2 elevators 1 was completely out of service and the other was not working properly so it will take a long time for the door to shut and either go up or down. and no fridge or microwave in our room, my fault I should have done more research. Everyone was super friendly

No hot water, no working shower, the TV didn’t work. Called someone up to fix it and they did nothing. Spoke with the front desk about it the next day and they said they could take off the $28 amenities fee. That was basically useless since the room was $700 for one night due to holiday spikes. Tried calling after my visit to see if more could be refunded since hot water and a working shower are basic necessities not extra amenities and they just pick up and immediately put you on hold never to return. After several days of calling I got told they escalated my concern. Then was told they couldn’t refund anything more because it was booked through Expedia. The location was convenient for what we wanted to do in the city and at $100-200 for the night I probably wouldn’t have minded no hot water or shower since we just stayed one night but if you are going to him the price to $700 for one night, I’d hope I could wash my hands in December with some warm water.

Staff is great. Location is great. Room was very clean, especially the bedding. The restaurant area next to the lobby is a nice space for work and for the included breakfast. This was my second time staying here and was in a much larger room than the first time. I will make sure to specify the larger one when I return for future stays. This is often an excellent deal price wise, especially given the premier location. With all of that said, the place would benefit from a meaningful refurbishment and update in the rooms, common areas and elevators--which is a decision to be made by the ownership.

Suitable for a big family and great location.
It was totally suitable for our big family in the family connected rooms. It wasn’t fancy but it was clean. Definitely could use some fixing up and updating but didn’t feel uncomfortable there at all. The location was incredible so I would recommend for that for sure!

Parking is in front of the hotel in the basement but be prepared to pay a lot at parking everywhere in NYC. Rooms are decent size and the location is amazing. Walking to times square. Staff is nice. Breakfast is 10 on 10 since the city is so expensive so having free breakfast to kick off the day is plus on.

In general we did enjoy our stay at this hotel . Hotel is conveniently located in the center of lots of restaurant , attactions and more . Did felt like the hotel was outdated . Heads up for the staff . Every single one was very helpfull ,welcoming and friendly .
