Rooms are small, but hotel is big on value
So, presuming you already know the obvious fact that the rooms are super tiny (feel kind of like a berth on a ship), this hotel was a lovely stay. The room had a huge window with a great view, making the room still feel open. The staff were great. There were a lot of really great restaurants within a couple blocks walk. LOVED the rooftop deck. We would definitely stay here again.

citizenM has physical and engineering problems that may endanger or prevent use by a wheelchair user. Guests won’t find this out until they arrive. citizenM should fix these problems, disclosing them in the meantime. An apologetic reply in absence of modification to their website should be taken as insincere. Beds in citizenM’s ADA rooms are high off the ground. If you cannot stand, you will not likely be able to get into the bed. They knowingly do not disclose this. The roll-in shower floods the whole bathroom. Besides the inconveniences, transferring from the bed or shower to my wheelchair exposed me to potential injury. Elevators break, but explicit ableism from the dishonest employee in charge made matters worse. She told all that ‘we don’t know what the problem is, but it will be fixed in ten minutes.’ Needing my medical supplies, a friend agreed to go get them. The ableist confronted my friend and told her that ‘she can’t climb to the 10th floor’. It is ableist to tell someone else what they can or cannot do, and she was actively thwarting my access to help. I needed my friend’s 4th floor room to use the medical supplies. I can climb stairs using my leg braces, and bump down the stairs in my wheelchair – but needed someone to carry my 25lb wheelchair up 3 flights. The security employee looked more than capable, but refused. A hero employee named Tibo, helped when the rest of the team refused to. He also declined a tip, insisting that that he was happy just to help.

Great hotel but way too busy in public areas
Hotel is great but breakfast is like a zoo. Lots of laptop warriors and I think a lot of local students in main area. I tried twice to get breakfast but wasn’t able to find a table either time. As a result I wouldnt stay again which is a shame as super nice building and great staff.

And this hotel was one of the greatest hotels we've ever stayed at. The staff was extremely helpful and professional. They were so polite. We asked to check-in early and even though they could not accommodate that they offered to let us store our luggage there untill our room became available. Everyone greeted us with a smile. Everyone was very helpful and answered all our questions. The room service request came up quickly. The rooms were clean and neat. The facilities were very clean and they looked brand new Greg, and Dante were very helpful With local recommendations and provided excellent customer service.We will recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family.Thank you so much for such a pleasant stay

The hotel itself is a fantastic place to stay in New York: the rooms are small but very well thought out, and the bed was extremely comfortable. And pretty reasonably priced for New York. We had a great view across the city from our 16th floor room, and there's an even better view from the rooftop bar (and pretty reasonably priced drinks too!) The Bowery subway station right next door to the hotel was probably not the best introduction to the area (the sketchiest subway station we had the misfortune to use!) but there are a couple of other within a 5-10 min walk that were much better. It's not the best area, but you're right on the doorstep of Little Italy and Chinatown, so plenty of places to eat and drink nearby too. Would definitely try Citizen M hotels again in other cities after this experience.

Comfortable
Only complaint is the bathroom door doesn’t have a lock and so it feels like you’re exposed a bit. Otherwise very clean, very cozy, and the bed was especially comfortable.
