The property looked nice but upon arrival the room wasn’t ready and I was told it may be a while before it was ready ( it was 5:00 an hour passed check in time) and the en I was offered another room instead which was unacceptable because I booked the Penthouse Suite because that’s what I wanted. I eventually was given a room, it looked nothing like the Penthouse Suite on the website. In addition the room was weathered…. fixtures were loose shower was about to fall off the wall lights were not properly in ceiling the ceiling tiles were removed like work was being done. The lobby ambiance was magnificent but the room was horrible, definitely not worth the $700.00 per night I paid. I don’t think the room I was given was the penthouse suite, it was nothing like the picture on the website. I will more than likely never stay there again.

Disappointing in-room facilities for the price and star rating. Terrible leaky shower. Depressing “boutique” furniture and furnishings that do not match the room space. Inability to swap pillows (for firmer). They removed our towels twice without replacing them. But a great location with friendly staff.

I've stayed at this hotel many times because the location is very convenient for me. The rooms are very small and it could improve a bit in cleaning. As many pointed out, their convenience fee doesn't make any sense and distorts any comparison with other properties

The location and lobby are great. The room was typically small, typical for the area. The furnishings were clean and in good condition, but you’d think they were sorta kinda designed for a kindergarten classroom. I was also afraid the shower door was going to detach from the wall, it didn’t. I’d still go back. the staff were great, and the lobby was a fun spot to start and end your day.

Hotel is in a nice area however my hotel room was dirty and dusty. No refrigerator In the unit. Really hard to sleep in when housekeeping keeps banging around the hallway area. Showers need upgrade.

Poorly maintained but reasonably priced
Fall time visit. No heat in room. Moved us to another room with no heat AND no hot water in shower. Shower was eventually fixed, but only after we had to leave for an appointment. Never had heat in room. Room was not cleaned one day. Beware that the room square footage sizes quoted include any outdoor space associated with the room. So our premium 450sf "room" was actually only 300sf, with the rest apparently composed of our portion of an undivided terrace area shared with multiple rooms. Manager waived the resort fee but seemed not to understand why this way of listing room sizes is misleading. If you're trying to pick a room based on interior space as we were, there's no information to enable you to know. (And really, how relevant is the outdoor space size when it's freezing outside?) While 300sf is still a decent size for NYC, its 1/3rd smaller than we were expecting. On the other side, the room rate was reasonable for NYC, the location is good and staff were friendly. But won't be going back due to all the hassles.
