Not a bad stay . Nice property. BUT as I was leaving I was approached by hotel staff saying there is an 'Urban Fee' tacked onto the bill. Expedia never mentioned that when I committed. I felt hustled. Is this a legit charge?

The property had an excellent location steps away from subway station, central park and Lincoln Center. The lobby area was cozy with a bar and living area for reading or unwinding. Rooms were average, a bit small for 4 people (2 adults 2 teens). Overall the hotel was fine as the location and VIP pastries and cofee we got thru expedia/hotels.com became habdy.

Property is well located in a trendy and accessible area for shopping and walking. However on Thursday nights when they have drink night it is extremely crowded and noisy and there are a lot of folks that are not patrons milling about. Another problem is that the hotel is not lit up adequately, it’s dark in the lobby areas particularly and also in the halls. Lighting in the rooms is also very poor. Other than that it’s a fair hotel.

I like the aesthetics and the atmosphere of the hotel. Also it seems like a family oriented neighborhood with CVS and Dunkin Donut close by. Feels safe to walk around.
