My first time visiting New Orleans was amazing, especially when staying at the Royal Sonesta! Everything I needed was either in the hotel or in walking distance. Perfect location for exciting activities or just lounging by the poolside or in the jazz lounge! Thank you.⚜️

The road the hotel is on is blocked off alot of the time, so when we flew in, in the evening the Uber dropped us around the corner. We walked around thinking it was just a few meters but one of the buskers pointed us down the street so we had to wheel ags dodging lots of people. Check in was bad. They didn't give us any information that we found out about a few days later. e.g the credit to use in the food facilities and we lost out on 2 days as they wouldn't do anything about it. We heard other guests talking and asked a couple of days later, but when reception did explain, they did not say the credit was not available for the last day, which we only found when we were billed. The room was ok but there were no fluffy robes or slippers as advertised and toiletries were hit and miss. We were close to or above the jazz playhouse so that was noise until around 10.00 but ok since most of the time we were out. As with most hotels the sockets were not in a great place if you wanted to use an ironing board. Location was ok but a shock to the system when you got out onto Bourbon street - very loud, loads of people walking up and down and opposite a gentlemans club. Cafe and dinner were good, Restaurant was totally over priced. We didn't use the pool area as there were no umbrellas/shade unless you were at the bar....and it was very confusing as to how to get out there. One door said don't use and looked like a fire exit but seemed the only way out. Doorstaff were wonderful.

This was a wonderful experience. From the valet to check out. Now i will warn you it is noisy till 4am. Like a big ass party out side... Because it is!! Any hotel on Bourbon street will be noisy dont complain bring ear plugs. We enjoy the private balcony the room provided. 2104 Room #.

Really horrible rooms. Smelt like major mold and vents not changed. I got an asthma attack after the first day. Big Cockroaches in my first room. I was switched without help and no a same dark room on another floor even after asking for a room with more air. The rooms were also FRIGID and the blankets really thin. The thermostats don't work. Can't sleep. Paid daily resort fee and the aren't any amenities pool is frigid. Don't even know why paying. Please see my other hotel reviews, I don't ever complain but for this one I highly suggest not to stay here

Beautiful! Room was amazing and pool side. Reception staff were so nice. Bar staff could be nicer by the pool but minor. Pool was beautiful. Loved the hotel and would stay again
