Newly Renovated Historic Magazine Street Condo Near It All!!

This historic condo, located on Magazine Street in the Lower Garden District, is in the best area. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, one need not venture far to soak in the culture and charm of the city. Cabs can be hailed from Magazine Street, or hop on a streetcar after a short walk to St. Charles Ave. The World War II Museum, Harrah’s Casino and Convention Center are also a one cocktail walk away (less than one mile). With close proximity to the Central Business District (CBD), French Quarter, Superdome and Uptown neighborhoods, adventure is steps away.

This 2 BR 2 bath condo is fully furnished. There is a king bed in each bedroom. The condo includes a 48” LED HDTV with Dish Network and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fully equipped to handle any meal if you choose to dine in, and a coffee machine is available for your morning joe. A washer and dryer are also available within the unit. For additional sleeping options, there is a large down couch.

In my opinion, the best part about this condo is the location. One of my favorite activities is hoping on my bike and riding down Magazine St. to Audubon Park. Magazine is always buzzing with activity and Audubon offers great oak trees and wildlife as scenery while biking around the golf course, which is just across the street from the Zoo. Supporting your favorite sports team, antiquing, shopping and great music venues are all within walking distance. Come enjoy the city I am proud to call home!

The apartment is as described. It was clean but could use a bit of TLC. The mattress should be replaced- there are permanent depressions in it. The kitchen did not have paper towels and we had to go to Walgreens to buy toilet paper and soap. It was handy to have a washer and dryer especially for a long stay but there was a small amount of laundry detergent and not enough to wash towels as the host requested. The location was great and we felt safe walking around at night. Aside from the concerns noted above, the apartment was comfortable and great to have 2 bathrooms.

Property was centrallly located close to Downtown. Perfect for our needs as we did the nine church pilgrimage walk with our friends for Jacksonville Fl. Beds were comfy and plenty of room for us.

A gem
This apartment was beautiful and we felt super safe with the entry gates. We came for the Taylor Swift concert and this was the perfect spot. Close to cafes and restaurants and the street was full of amazing architecture and shops. We had a great stay!

Great Condo/Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay at this rental which was perfectly located in the lower Garden District, just outside the congested part of the city, but also a quick streetcar ride to the French Quarter. The unit was very clean with comfy beds and perfect for two couples. Loved that there were two separate king bedrooms each with there own bathrooms. Highly recommend!

Great place if you don’t plan on being here at all or have very low expectations. The house has been partially renovated. It’s an old house like many in New Orleans, but still needs some work. There are broken steps, no porch light, the floor is weak in spots, and other things are missing like smoke alarms and light switch overs. Half of the light bulbs are burned out as well inside. This place is not suitable for kids. The front door lock didn’t work, so we had to just hope the door knob lock would hold. The listing says it has off street parking, but we were told we could not park there. It also lists a dishwasher but that was not working. Peter was unavailable to send us the check in instructions before we got there, so we had to wait 4 hours for him to respond. Make sure to email him the day before. We reached out to him to make it right, but just got a “thanks for letting me know”. The only good thing about this property is the location. You can walk to places and get around town easily. The location didn’t make it worth it for all the inconveniences we had to deal with. We will not be coming back.

Nice 2 bedroom in NOLA
Awesome bathrooms, nice for two couples to be able to each have their own King room & a nice new bathroom. Small kitchen, but if you are eating out all your meals in NOLA like we did, it is all the space you’ll need. Recommend this place to anyone that is a couple, single family or 2 couples visiting NOLA.

Best part of New Orleans
Great condo for 2 couples with 2 king suites. Great location. Walking distance to shops & restaurants on Magazine St & short bus ride to downtown. Great alternative to all things Bourbon St. Neighbors did get a little rowdy at night. (but this is New Orleans!) Owner was very accommodating & let us check in early. He also was very helpful & gave several suggestions for dining, etc. Would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable stay
I have to admit when I walked up to the building I was a little worried (building is very crooked and all the windows and doors were at angles) but once I got inside it was nice. The rooms were good sized and the layout was perfect for our needs. We shared the place with my mother-in-law for a family wedding. We each had a bedroom and bathroom to ourselves. The living area was small but cozy. The location was perfect and we were able to walk to everything! Downsides were the disposal didn’t work so the sink didn’t drain, the washing machine or dryer (not sure which) left holes in our clothes, and the soaps in the entire place were watered down and shot across the room when you used them (odd). I would definitely stay there again for the comfortable sleeping and location short term but the place could use a little TLC.
