Amazing stay! We had multiple inconveniences happen on our end and the hotel was very accommodating and kind. They wanted to help. It smelled so good inside and it was a gorgeous room. This is also a very central location & the perfect distance from all tourist spots.

Good location and nice room. It is not an HOTEL and offers minimal service. We’ve had to ask to have our room cleaned over a 5 night stay.. Feels more like an Air B&B. Overpriced for no service in the room…

The hotel is quaint, and located in an easily walkable area. The staff are wonderful, and they take guests security and needs seriously. The parking lot is a block and a half away, and not inconvenient. The hotel is well kept, but as with older buildings, there are minor signs of wear, such as the carpet in the hallways. This being the French Quarter, expect more noise in a small four story hotel versus a chain behemoth. Some rooms on the second floor can expect to be woken between 6:00 - 6:30 AM by the outdoor speakers for the next door restaurant. Bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

It was a wonderful hotel, beautiful environment. I appreciated the cleanliness. I did not care for the glass shower partition, but im guessing that was by designer's choice. The biggest problem was the noise. There were either construction vehicles or waste management vehicles clanging around right outside the window as early as 5am every day. I would stay here again if i could be guaranteed a room on the opposite side of the alley. It's too bad because that was really the only thing that would keep me from staying.

Excellent Location
The hotel was quaint in the French Quarter. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Room was smaller but sufficient. Loved how easily we could walk to countless restaurants, attractions, the Mississippi, Canal street etc. The bathroom wasn't as clean as I would hope on arrival, but they responded well to concerns.

Beware of misleading photos advertising La Galerie
First of all, beware the photos describing the Hotel. The bar and Restaurant are NOT in this hotel, Its next door. There are doors that look like you and walk through but after I asked the server at the restaurant, she said she has worked there for 2 years and theyhave never been open and they have no affiliation with the hotel. The Hotel should not be allowed to show the photos of the separate restaurant, Very misleading. On top the the room fee, there are SEVEN additions fees including an "Amentity fee" which the ONLY amenity is complimentary coffee and a water dispenser in lobby. All the flooring is laminate and it sounds like the floor above you is a dance hall. Splattered paint everywhere even on flooring.There are plenty of good places to eat nearby and the restaurant next door very good, Staff friendly.

If you get one of the bigger 2 room suites, be prepared. They are comfy and have nice furniture, but they are right across the hall from the elevators on each floor and the bedrooms are on Dacatur st with thin windows, so noisy at night. Being earplugs or buy a fan (the suite furnace doesn’t make much noise in the bedroom, but you can turn the fan on constant for what it’s worth). Remote controls are also sticky (not just our room; 2 friends as well). The main room had a motion sensor light that wont stay on or off, but put a piece of tape or a banfaid over the sensor and it will turn off for good. Overall, this is still a great hotel with free coffee and great staff.

Don't ask for room close to elevator
We were offered upgrades via email for 11 dollars a night but did not take one- one was having a room close to the elevator- we did however end up in room 206 which literally has the elevator shaft in the room and its very noisy. Thankfully we did not spend much time in the room so it did not bother us much. If it would have been a longer trip it would have been annoying.

The proximity to Royal Street and Canal is great. The room we stayed in was BEAUTIFUL and spacious - loved the exposed brick! Staff was very friendly as well.
