A big—very big—conference hotel of a late-'80s vintage. Rooms are well-sized and comfortable, though hardly glamorous; staff is hard-working and competent; but the facilities, especially restaurants and bars on the premises, are inadequate for the sheer size of the place. On the weekends in particular, there may be literally no place to eat that won't cost an hour. One small gem: a branch location of Cafe du Monde is a ten-minute walk from the lobby in an attached shopping mall.

Excellent location, easy walk to the French Quarter and shopping. The access to the mall is conveniently located on the lower level of the hotel. Beautifully located on the Mississippi river - easily enjoyed the steamboats pulling up on the water. Look forward to visiting again.

I did not like that I booked with Expedia to save money and ended up paying more!!!! I was informed when checking in that I would NOT be able to utilize any of my Hilton benefits and I would be charged an additional daily fee for booking with a third party!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
