I used to like paying extra at the Blake for the nuanced amenities: Nespresso machine, morning coffee service to the room. Now both are gone. While the rooms are bigger than other New Haven hotels, there is no distinguishing feature. (After I checked in and asked, they did kindly bring me the coffee machine. I just wanted to note that these services are no longer available in the room).

Nice but really noisy
This is a really nice, elegant, modern hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is great. But I didn’t sleep a wink bc of the noise upstairs from me - some party or something. It didn’t stop all night. And you can hear everything in the hallway. My aunt slept on a different floor and slept very well. They need better sound proofing!

Overall, this is a beautiful space with comfortable accommodations. The parking situation was a little tricky because you can't pull up outside the main entrance. There is valet parking behind the hotel that took me a bit of time to find. All the staff were very accommodating.
