Not very safe place at night
GREAT stay as always but security is terrible. At midnight there are wide open front doors and no requirements to use card for the elevators. Hotel is located in a bad neighborhood. When asked upfront about security at night - their answer was -" we had a power outage and it does not work any more -the front door lock". When asked again-when is it going to be finished- the answer was-"we don't know". More like "we don't care". We rare exception front desk is rude and arrogant.

We stayed at the hotel as a relative was underground surgery at YNHHS. The hotel was very convenient to the hospital and met our needs well.

There was a flashing fire alarm light in my room that kept me up all night. When I tried to call the front desk about the issue they told me it was due to construction and said there was nothing that could do about it. When I asked about it in the morning I was told it was an intentional design feature to help blind people navigate the room (???) which made absolutely no sense to me. So don’t stay here unless you want a bright flashing light to keep you up the entire night.

The communication at this hotel was poor. I stayed here last year and had trouble sleeping due to traffic noise all night. This year, before checking in, I specifically requested a room that didn’t face the street, and the hotel assured me that they’d noted it. However, when I arrived, the staff couldn’t find the note, nor could they tell me which rooms didn’t face the street. Unfortunately, I ended up with the same issue as last year. Additionally, the coffee machine in my room was broken, and the engineer couldn’t come until 9:30 am. Since I had a major event to attend, I couldn’t wait that long. I don’t understand why the hotel didn’t just replace the machine instead of making guests wait for hours. Given the price I paid for both stays, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
