Just located off the living room is a beautiful master suite with a luxurious master bath. The master bath has a large, romantic soaking tub great for couples. The second living room offers a great space to cozy up next to the electric fireplace with your loved ones while having a movie marathon. Use the back French door to walk onto the spacious deck. The deck spans the length of the cabin making it great for outdoor entertainment. Our guests can enjoy large family cookouts, relax in the hot tub and stargaze, or head towards the yard to the newly renovated outdoor firepit with wooden benches, Adirondack chairs, and a swing to share stories around the campfire. At the Bobcat Cabin, our guests have ample opportunity to explore, experience, and enjoy all of Southeast, OH.

We go down to the Hocking Hills area with another family every year, and this was one of the best locations we have ever stayed at. It's truly massive, and the pictures don't do it justice in this regard.

Family at the Bobcat
My adult children and grands were easily accommodated for sleeping and indoor play. The primary suite was a delightful luxury. The kitchen was well equipped and functional. The WiFi was effecient. The W/D were quiet and convenient. The back porch was perfect for on site picnicking and for the kids play. The cabin was clean. The hottub did not function. The location is nicely isolated, 10 minutes to the grocery, 25 minutes to Hocking Hills. Very little traffic on the road to the property. Plenty of parking. Check in and check out were simple.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bobcat cabin. It was so nice on the inside, beautifully remodeled. So much room for family to spread out to watch TV or play games after hiking. Very relaxing. We did have issues with rain as mentioned in a 2023 review. We put pans out to catch drips, but there was a couple spots on couch we couldn't use due to being wet. Hopefully they replace the roof spots soon so as to not add to the damage to ceiling. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

We had 3 families together in this rental. It would be more convenient to have more than one key or a coded lock for access. The kitchen was well stocked, could use a few more kitchen towels. The bathrooms were well stocked with towels.

Girls’ weekend
We had a great time in this cabin! The kitchen was well stocked ands we had plenty of comfortable beds and rooms for everyone. Only disappointment was the hot tub: I reached out when booking to make sure it was in working order as it was the one thing my sister wanted for this weekend celebrating her. I was assured it was. While the tub did heat up, the most of the jets weren’t working. We still had a great time & I would definitely stay there again, but the amenities should be updated so other guests can manage their expectations.

The house was clean and worked well for us. I didn’t receive check in instructions like I was told. Check-in is at 4 PM. We got in because the local cable company was fixing the internet. 1st Choice called me at 7 PM to ask if I got in or needed help checking in. FYI - You must also return the keys to a different location.

Overall Lovely Stay
We had a lovely stay at the Bobcat cabin. Check in and check out was easy, management is very quick to respond to questions, and the cabin is even more spacious than it looks on the listing. We also really appreciated all of the preventative protections we saw in place for bed bugs. Anyone who travels knows what signs to look out for, so it was really reassuring to see there were measures in place to keep patrons safe. Overall I would recommend staying here, but there are some things that you should know before you book. Important note: the tread on the ramp leading up to the front door is completely worn out, leading to a pretty dangerous situation whenever the ramp is slick. I was being careful to only step on the tread and it tore leading me to slide and fall. I was mostly able to catch myself, but this could have really injured someone who is less able bodied. Hopefully the treads have been replaced by now after I mentioned this while checking out. This cabin also has some bad leaking at the front entryway with heavy water stains, you will need to place a bucket there if you are visiting while it is rainy. We did not reach out about this because it's such a prominent leak that it's most likely been happening for awhile and they are aware and will hopefully take care of it when they are able. Less serious note: it can get pretty chilly in some of the bedrooms and extra blankets are not provided. I would recommend bringing extra blankets for this reason.

A great place to spend time together for a family reunion. The kitchen was great and well-equipped for cooking and there was plenty of space for the extended family to spread out to do different things. The hot tub worked well (although some of the jets didn't seem to function) and was the highlight of our group. A great time!

Family Reunion/Thanksgiving Get-A-Way
This property worked very well for us!! The size and the division of the bedrooms seemed perfectly suited for our group. We used every bed for 3 nights, including a major meal for a holiday, and we were quite comfortable. The only inconveniences were the heating, the quality of a few of the chairs, the outside trash cans, and the hot tub. The heating took some experimenting to balance on the cold nights (some of the bedrooms were quite cold, others too warm, until we let the fan run constantly to balance everything out). Some of the dining room type chairs were quite rickety. The outside trash cans were barely large enough for our 3 days, and not covered - so were rummaged through by the local wildlife. The hot tub jets would not come on...just an error msg was displayed. All unfortunate, and preventable, but nothing major. We would definitely go back again for a similar family event.

Didn’t like having to go to a separate place to pick up and drop off keys. We found dog food under some of the bed pillows (maybe the last guests did it?) and found mouse droppings as well. They obviously did not clean very well.

Incredible Experience
This would be a 5 star experience if they had not installed a camera at the hot tub. The camera wasn’t DIRECTLY aimed at the hot tub. However it was aimed near it. And for what we know, it could be an ultra wide camera. Many in our group found this to be a huge invasion of privacy. We don’t need some creepy dude spying on young females. While we believe this company does operate in good faith based on our amazing experience, we still are not comfortable and are very against a surveillance camera near the hot tub. This camera was 3 feet away from the hot tub. We suggest making this clear with guests or install a modified camera gadget where a physical tunnel or a wall next to the lens can be seen obviously blocking the hot tub. We understand the concern the cabin company does aswell in terms of liability. Aside from that the cabin, and experience was incredible. By far the best was this female employee. I cannot remember her name but she clearly was excited to give her “speech” to us about the attractions near Hocking Hills. She was extremely respectful and top notch. She also gave us person tips from her own experiences. We will definitely look forward towards coming back again.

A fantastic place to stay
A cozy home, as advertised plenty of space for my large family. It has definitely been nicely updated. We enjoyed the hot tub. The house was nicely central to lots of outdoors activities and had good living space for the time we were rained out of our hikes. Quick and responsive communication with the rental company, and good recommendations with check in. Only note is check in and out (which was smooth and simple) was off site but within 15 minutes of the house so not a problem.
