Large family room with full kitchen and seperate bedroom. Bathroom was beautiful with large spa bath. Staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations in the local area and also advice of forward travel with driving in forecasted heavy rains- much appreciated.

Great stay
Check in to this hotel was simple and efficeintly handled. The rrom was good and clean. One downside tbat was mentioned was being on 2nd level but no lift access. Overall though, a very nice hotel, quiet, close to centre of town. I would reco.mend this hotel to anyone

Overall experience was good. All staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially the ones in the restaurant. Few things could have been better: fridge is noisy and the milk was frozen. Fan in the bathroom was not working . Our meal was delivered without cutlery. We didn’t want to call about that because the restaurant was very busy.

Our stay in the hotel is pretty average. We were able to walk to restaurants in the city (average about 20mins walk). We had breakfast at the restaurant on the hotel which has a good review. I ordered salmon eggs benedict, the eggs were overcooked for a poached eggs, the sauce too tangy and the salmon tasted a bit off. For some reason when we checked in, the rubbish bins in the hotel are not lined with plastic bags. The room has good amount of amenities i.e. stoves, fridge, and cooking utensil

We had a compact room which was adequate for our two night stay. It was super clean and quiet. We dined in one night and we were very impressed with the meal and the staff The meal was delicious and very affordable Would certainly recommend a stay at the Nelson Hotel.

The property perhaps is not very business stay friendly, it obviously depends on the day but it is very very loud with swimming pool occupied most of the day by loud noises and windows not blocking the noise, it's good if you're here for holidays not if you're here for work and need rest. Also there are no microwaves in Studio rooms even though they have them on photos. Other than that, it's good.

Helpful staff, but the hotel needs to update their website to reflect the accommodation offered! We booked a studio unit with everything it listed but there was no microwave as stated, no bowls or spoons for breakfast. They very promptly sorted it out for us!
