Historic Blakely house is on Natchez Street and 1 mile to downtown Franklin. The Natchez Street area represents a part of the land that was the place of the Battle of Franklin. It was once an oasis for many segregated owned and operated businesses for over 100 years. Franklin has greatly grown over the years and now is on recent lists like Big 7 Travel's "Most Charming Small Towns Across America". Downtown Franklin is a vibrant blend of historic preservation and modern sophistication. Just 14 miles from Nashville, you’ll find an oasis of Southern hospitality housed in a 16-block historic district of award-winning antique shops, brick-and-mortar gift and book stores, fashion-forward boutiques, privately owned art galleries, lovingly restored homes, and more.

Darling Home in Franklin
We loved this home... beds were comfortable, the video games a nice extra... our kids even got us to play a little. Great location for everything in Franklin. Loved the little extra touches... popcorn, tea, very thoughtful. Thanks for an easy in and out, wonderful stay.

Delightful property. Would return.
We adored the quaint charm of this lovely 1930s built bungalow. The hosts were wonderfully communicative. Being former VRBO owners ourselves, we know the extra effort it takes to truly make a property feel like home, and their effort is deeply appreciated. The property is located very close to downtown Franklin, a mere few minute, walk to the main two circles. We hosted Thanksgiving for our family of 4+2 additional family members. There were ample rooms for privacy for all. No lack of hot water, place settings, or diversions for guests of all ages. The hosts ensure that there are games, puzzles, electronics, books and smart TVs that may be enjoyed by all. An additional touch, the coffee bar is stellar. Not knowing whether or not the kitchen would be appropriately stocked to host such a daring meal, The only thing I wish I had was a knife sharpener and a meat thermometer. Understand that the stone building is nearly 100 years old. Tastefully, decorated and renovated, the floors are a little creaky and modern amenities took creative efforts to install, but this does not take anything away from the property. The home straddles a gentrified section of Franklin. We felt very secure with the police department down the street any fenced in yard that our dog spent hours exploring. The photos are true to the home's condition. Should her family ever need a VRBO in the future, we would absolutely return.

A Wonderful House in Franklin
This house was just what we were looking for. First, it was in a fantastic location, a ½ mile walk from downtown Franklin, TN. We loved looking at the lovely 1800’s homes, beautifully restored, along Main Street as we walked into downtown. The location was also convenient for trips into Nashville, an easy 20-mile drive. We drove off the main highway into Nashville several times so we could enjoy seeing all the pretty properties on the way. Secondly, the house itself was great. It was remodeled and had a newer kitchen and 2 bathrooms. There were 2 family rooms with TVs, one upstairs, one down. It was just the 2 of us, but I could see how this house would be an excellent choice for 2 families. The house was very clean and tidy, and there was a laundry room – one of my “must haves” on longer vacations. Maybe most important to the success of our stay were our hosts. Dan and Amy communicated well - from the time our reservation was made to the day we left. They checked in to see if we had any questions/needs after arrival, they suggested a walk we might like, and they sent us a reminder when we left. They even provided a framed postcard of Franklin as a souvenir of our stay. A very thoughtful team. We would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Franklin or the surrounding areas.

Great house
If you do not like staying in big cities like Nashville, this house is ideal. The house is very comfortable and spotless. The fenced yard is perfect for your dog. As advertised it is a short walk to civil war sites. And a short drive to the Natchez Trace, Leiper's Fork, and Nashville. Perfect!

Lovely little cottage close to downtown
We enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage near downtown Franklin. It was a quick couple of minutes drive to downtown where parking can easily be found at the 4th Street parking garage. The house is stocked with everything you could need for a comfortable stay, board games and puzzles to entertain the kids, and a cute little coffee/tea bar in the kitchen (I especially loved the electric tea kettle!).

Excellent Stay!
My family loved our stay at the Blakely House. Blakely House is a historic home that has been beautifully redone. The home still has so much of the historical charm with all the modern conveniences. The hosts also had a great area with maps & information about the beautiful town of Franklin. We were visiting the area because it was a convenient spot for a tournament we were in but ended up loving the town of Franklin. We loved our stay & we'll definitely choose Blakely House again. The

We really enjoyed our stay at this property several months ago, so rented it again. On this visit, we had some time to enjoy the second-floor sun porch at the front of the house.
