Come to Brown County and kick back for a while in this comfortable cabin with lots of great features.

A soaring cathedral ceiling and a huge wall of windows looking out to the wooded surroundings creates a peaceful atmosphere in the big living room. A pretty fireplace, a flat-screen smart TV, and comfortable sofas will entice you to sit and chill with your family and friends.

The ample kitchen has all the conveniences you could ask for, and also opens onto a deck out back.

Take advantage of nice weather by enjoying the deck’s picnic table, and other seating arrangement of chairs and tables. The hot tub is located here as well, and it all overlooks a neat little pond and campfire pit area below.

The main floor of Laguna House has two bedrooms, each with Smart TVs, with a shared bathroom. You’ll find a king bed in one bedroom, and a pair of twin beds in the other.

Upstairs is a large master bedroom with king-size bed, chaise longue, and another flat-screen Smart TV, just in case you have to get your late-night late show “fix”. Also located on the second floor is a bathroom plus a loft area that’s outfitted with a game table, TV hooked to DVD only, and a rocker strategically placed to make the most of the pretty view outdoors.

Billiards enthusiasts will be happy to know that a pool table is on the lower level, where you’ll also find a door for easy access to the fire pit and the pond. Fishing is a pastime enjoyed by many while staying at Laguna House…maybe you’ll like it, too. Catch and release fishing.

Other nearby activities you may want to investigate are line dancing at Mike’s Country Music & Dance Barn; horseback riding or mountain bike riding in Brown County State Park; Yellowwood State Forest; horse-drawn carriage rides in Nashville; or a performance at the Brown County Playhouse. Many shops, artist’s studios & galleries are also lots of fun to explore for the perfect souvenir of your Brown County visit. Laguna House is ready and waiting to make you feel right at home…so why wait?

Beautiful seclusion
Wonderful stay. The listing said it had a pull out bed, but it did not. Luckily we brought an air mattress. Also there was no access to the laundry room and one of the light switches didn’t work. Otherwise we had a great stay.

Better Have 4WD for the Driveway!
We stayed at the Laguna House and loved most things about the home. Pros: THOSE VIEWS! They are absolutely stunning! And the nooks in the loft made for great morning coffee views. Cons: that driveway is AWFUL! I called ahead to ensure we would not have any issues getting to the property due to weather conditions. The property manager told me there was a steep hill leading up to the house and the driveway was steep, but the property management company was responsible for plowing the driveways and the county did a very good job of plowing the roads up to the house, so we should be okay. Two miles into our journey we realized that was incorrect. The county was not plowing the roads around the house. In fact, the roads were 1 lane due to the snow and you had to pull off if there was oncoming traffic. Luckily there were nice locals who helped push us out of the snow when we got stuck on the side of the road due to this very scenario. To top it off, the driveway is so steep that it took numerous tries to get just 1 vehicle with 4WD to the top. We had to leave the other two at the bottom of the hill because they would not make it up. This was insanely inconvenient considering we had an 84 year old and 7 month pregnant woman staying for the weekend. Asking the two of them to walk up the driveway that was entirely iced over was not an option. An honest heads up would have been appreciated. Additionally, the cabin could use a good cleaning, as there was hair in our silverware drawer the first time we opened it; there is not a couch in the basement as advertised; the sliding glass doors don't close appropriately, which causes an awful draft in the house; and 2 windows on the middle level either don't close appropriately or were left open at the top upon our arrival, making the house very cold, even with the heat on. We have rented through Hills O'Brown before and love coming to the area, but struggle with the thought of staying through the company again after this experience.

Lovely Cabin
This was a beautiful cabin for a girl's weekend getaway. The cabin is located in the woods on a little pond. There is no internet and weak cell reception but we were fine with that. We wanted to escape and this cabin allowed us to do just that. Close enough to town for shopping and far enough out to have a peaceful time. Nice upstairs reading nooks. Main level gathering areas. Cabin is fabulous. Thank you

No Wi-Fi or cell service, but beautiful getaway
We really enjoyed our time away at the Laguna House and hiking at Brown Co. State Park, but some improvements are needed. PROS: beautiful, remote setting on a hill overlooking a private lagoon. Large deck and hot tub. Great fire pit area. The large living room had a great view of the leaves changing colors in early fall. CONS: The description of the property MUST mention that Wi-Fi is NOT available, especially when our cell service also did not work. Of course your guests are coming here to get away, but sometimes they also have work obligations or plan to use the internet to plan excursions during their stay. I didn’t catch that Wi-Fi is not listed in your “amenities” section, but this is an important one to explicitly state in your property description for full disclosure. The driveway seriously needs attention. It is gravel and incredibly steep and marked with potholes. It took us 3 attempts to get up it with our loaded minivan without sliding backwards. The kitchen is awful. It needs updating. The drawers and cabinets barely open. That basement is not a place to “kick back for a game of pool”. It’s a garage. And it’s freezing and smells. Our kids enjoyed the pool table. Adults would not. You do not have access to the laundry room unless you stay 5 days. This is ludicrous for the amount we paid for 3 nights. We’ve rented a lot of houses in different areas, and if washer/dryer is listed as an amenity it’s always available. Appliances were fine. Beds were fine. Bathrooms were fine. It’s a truly beautiful setting. The house just needs some attention. We would not stay there again.
