We enjoyed our stay at Art Deco Masonic Hotel. Our room was a bit cramped, but very comfortable otherwise. The hotel has a large balcony overlooking the sea. A very nice place to enjoy a glass of wine before dinner. You are in the heart of Art deco Napier. There’s a tour company across the street, and lots of local shopping & restaurants. The hotel leases a private lot a block away. Very easy to unload luggage & keep your vehicle there. A safe place to keep your car. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are very kind & helpful. We had a problem with a tour we booked & were over the top in helping us sort it out. Many thanks to them for their kindness. The hotel offers a washing machine for those travellers on the road for a while. The wash is free, but drying is a nominal fee. A nice touch.

We enjoyed our room, very comfortable bed, shower was good and we enjoyed sitting in the upstairs courtyard/balcony. The breakfast at the nearby restaurant was very good, which was part of our package.

This property lived up to its name art deco this hotel has such a great vibe our room was comfortable, clean had everything you needed for your stay. There is some road noise but to be expected when in the centre of town. Would definitely stay here again.

Art deco beautifully restored waterfront hotel in an area full of beautiful art deco buildings. Excellent reasonably priced dining in options and many excellent cafes outside your door. Loved my walks along the waterfront too. Art deco society tours available just across the street! Loved my time there - visited from Australia

Beautiful old building, well located, the room was fairly clean and tidy but we were surprised at how cramped the space was - we happened to have a lazer measuring tool in the car and the room certainly wasn’t 20m sq. And even that is small - ‘King superior’ Is a somewhat misleading name! As it was I couldn’t help but knock myself on the TV when trying to get to the bathroom around the foot of the bed at night. I’ve no idea how a large person would cope. Being awoken at 7.30 am on a Sunday by a pneumatic drill in the street below wasn’t ideal either. Not your fault but you didn’t even seem to know about it - in your position I would’ve apologised, contacted the local council and so on. 7/10.

Great location and good base to see Napier centre. Loved the decor and the art deco touches. Rooms were on the small side but the access to the roof terrace was a nice touch. Food was delicious and the bar comfy. Would definitely stay again
