Island Dancer is a historic, comfy cottage and will be the perfect home for your getaway to the OBX. Built in 1935 this quaint cottage has survived more than eighty years along the coast of the Outer Banks. Families came to the Outer Banks in the 1900s in the summer to escape the heat of the inland farms and to enjoy the sea and ocean air for a healthier living. Many of these historical homes still have family ties to the original owners. Families spent the day at the beach and relaxed on their covered decks in the evening sharing stories with family, friends, and neighbors. These homes added modern conveniences as the years went by but the laid-back lifestyle is still possible to enjoy. Island Dancer is your answer to the perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate from the fast-paced life we live in. Bring your favorite books and games and hang out on the covered decks.

Beach Access: A private walkway behind the home leads you to the beautiful beaches and ocean where you can spend the day basking in the sun, swimming, surfing, and maybe find some sea glass to take home.

All reservations are offered to purchase travel insurance for an additional 7.75% of your rent and taxes. Please refer to the rental agreement you will be signing to accept or decline this coverage as your refund in the time of cancellation will be dependent on your acceptance in most situations. All guests must sign and return a rental agreement before reservations are confirmed. Payment for travel insurance, if accepted, will be processed upon receipt of this signed agreement.
Standard cancellation policy is: CANCELLATION POLICY and SUBSTITUTIONS - Any changes, including changing dates, switching of properties, or complete cancellations will invoke the cancellation policy. Agent recommends all Renters purchase travel insurance offered at time of booking to protect them in the event of an unexpected event affecting their vacation. Agent cannot offer future credits or immediate refunds for unexpected cancellations due to emergencies regardless of the situation, including but not limited to weather events and acts of God, unexpected illnesses, injury or death, changing of plans, or job loss. Please do not ask. All cancellations are subject to a fifty dollar ($50.00) cancellation fee. Cancellations must be submitted to Agent in writing (email is acceptable). In the event of cancellation, no refund of monies paid will be made unless the Property is re-rented for the same price and time period of this original vacation rental agreement. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Agent will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the full amount. Tenant acknowledges that Agent has full discretion on negotiating rental rates in an effort to get the Property re-rented and make the Owner whole, while also attempting to get the Tenant the highest refund possible.
