Nice, clean, but living area on the same sleeping room is difficult to do anything.
There is only one small shower and sink for all of us. Also it’s situated on top of the hill, and there is a place where 26 Christians were executed in front of the hostel. We can see the all view from the window, no escape. I was scared,
The hosts, Nana, and his wife were great. Another staff Miva, was super lovely. It's a good place for a solo traveler or couple to stay. It was convenient to walk to the train station, bus station, and many other dining places. I also had a good time talking to other guests. You get a private room though it is tiny. You can lock the door and go. I would stay again!
Shingo and nana, who own and operate the cafe and hostel, are genuine community builders. When you stay at ROUTE, you become a part of their community. If you don't know what that means, they will teach you :)
prepare for a beautiful and caring experience in their property and in Nagasaki, with their guidance.
The solo room is kinda a room and a capsule, depends on how you view about a proper sized room. For me the room is good enough. Beware if you carry a large suitcase though, as the stairs to the room is really narrow.
The hotel is like a guesthouse, with shared showers and toilets, but the rooms are private and secure.
It is located in front of Nagasaki Station, but the cost of staying here is inexpensive and the staff is very helpful and friendly.
If I ever visit Nagasaki again, I would use this hotel again.
