Our location is incredibly well-suited to the quintessential Mystic experience. We are on the Mystic River and quite kayak friendly. The cottage is very near the drawbridge and a very short stroll to downtown. The famed Mystic Seaport area is about 0.5 mile away and clearly visible from the cottage. Then there's the aquarium, the diner, and a handful of lesser known things to see, do, eat, and drink. We share detailed recommendations and favorite picks with guests upon booking
We are within walking distance to Downtown Mystic and The Mystic Seaport Museum. The Amtrak station is about one mile away. You can walk to almost everything in the area. Uber is available as well.
This is a renovated historic cottage. There are some areas where ceiling height is low. The ceiling by the bed is low. Also, to adjust temperature (heating and cooling), go by “how you feel,” not what the thermostat setting is.
The most important House Rule is, to respect our neighbors. Mystic is a quaint, coastal New England community. As hosts, and guests, we all share in the responsibility to keep Mystic a wonderful place to visit, and LIVE. Please honor all noise ordinances. Be the guest YOU would want staying in a vacation rental located near YOUR home.
