I had a lovely 4-night stay here. The room was clean and comfortable and everything in the kitchenette worked as it should. I didn’t see a single bug the entire time I was there. The location across the street from the beach is fantastic. Loved sitting on the balcony and hearing the waves crashing. I would stay here again.

As you arrive, don’t let the weathered appearance of the building form your opinion of the Darlington Inn. The staff will greet you with a warm smile and friendly welcome. The rooms are nicely renovated with amenities to make your stay comfortable. Cleanliness is most important to my husband and I, the Darlington Inn gets an A+. We will definitely return for another stay on our next trip to Myrtle Beach.

Fantastic!
I hate stating this, b/c it means they'll be booked and I may have trouble coming back, lol, but this place rocks. The people are all so nice and really knowledgeable. The place is clean as a button, well stocked (kitchen) and the beds are dreamy - so comfy. The location can't be beat and the view is unbeatable. I would live here if I could, lol.

Highly recommended for a comfortable stay.
Very pleasant place to stay. Clean, quiet, comfortable, and everything worked as it should. Great location as well, only a couple blocks from shopping, restaurants, and the boardwalk with arcades. It is a family owned hotel and the owners are friendly and helpful, even called several times to help with our late check-in.

This was a cheap selection and very retro which was fun so definitely some original 1942 items but it was so CLEAN! They even allowed dogs here and I did not know till later in the day it was so good. Right across the beach great views of the ocean. Very nice people running it.

Family owned is way better than corporate owned!!
This hotel is family owned and operated, they go out of their way to make your stay the best experience. The place was spit shined from the decking, building and room, fully furnished with everything you would need to stay a day or a month. 2nd floor and up, you can sit on the balcony and watch the sun come up in peace and solitude. Has to be 1 of the friendliest, cleanest, comfortablest and relaxating places i can ever remember staying at in all my years of traveling. Highly recommend leaving big corporate hotel and supporting this family owned business.

From the time we booked, all through our stay and checkout, we had a great experience with the Darlington Inn. Location is perfect, right across from the 2nd Avenue Pier and the beach. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I can’t wait to go back and visit this little gem!
