The property location is just a few minutes walk from hauptbahnhof and in a busy neighborhood with many shops and restaurants. We especially enjoyed the quick access to the hauptbahnhof u-bahn stop as it made our travels around the city very convenient with less walking. Their breakfast service was good and the restaurant was super convenient for a late night bite and drinks--their bier was very good. Being in this location, however, there was a lot of street noise from the area activity. This wasn't a major problem but with no air conditioning in the rooms it meant a choice between air circulation or outside noise. Rooms are simple and nice. Definitely recommend this property to people exploring Munich!

What we like: Location is good, close to station. Easy check-in using the machine as we arrive late. What we dont like: We lived on the first floor, above the patio. There is always someone chatting/ smoking down there at midnight. Very noisy and smelly. There is no AC so it would either be stuffy and hot if we close the window, or noisy and smelly. The room is also quite dusty.

We were not impressed with this property. It is not a great area and the noise outside made it almost impossible to sleep. There were people partying in the street till the early morning hours and then the street cleaners came by at 4:30. Given the high temperatures and no AC we had no choice but to sleep with the windows open. The hotel has no proper reception and the the area is sketchy. The single elevator is small and old. We paid $400 CND per night for this place. The room was not cleaned between the two nights I saw a notice in the elevator as we were leaving that this was common practice. The room itself was very large and clean but the area is not nice. With an erotic store just down the road we did not feel comfortable staying out part 9:30pm and walking back.

Got cockroach, killed it. No AC and the fan they provided was loud but didn’t have any air. No 24 hrs reception don’t go to the hotel late night as the gate won’t open with you room key. Surroundings just filled with drunk/high at night be careful

Good: a short walk from train station, a short walk to old town, relativelky inexpensive by Munich standards, hot and high pressure shower, very friendly front desk and customer service, EXCELLENT restaurant (the restaurant is highly recommended.) Bad: room wasn't very clean (the walls could have used a wash), the shower door seal leaked (and had to be blocked with a towel to avoid the entire bathroom floor being flooded), no air conditioning (room was very hot, only a small fan is provided), only one pillow provided per person and no ability to call down to front desk, very noisy (room backed onto beer garden which had loud conversation late at night) and located in a somewhat "dicey" area (strip clubs along the street). If this hotel was half the price, it would be reasonable value, but I didn't think it was good value for money and I would not stay again - but I would definitely go to the restaurant.

Hotel was clean and so was room. Didn't have AC though. Didn't realize that when i booked or i would of booked somewhere else. Bed was very firm. Uncomfortable to me. I liked that there was a restaurant on site and they brewed their own beer.

I read other reviews on this hotel and was concerned with comments that you have to self checkin and that there was a bar downstairs but there is actually a hotel receptionists to check-in with and the bar is actually a restaurant with a small bar area. Not noisy at all. The neighborhood is noisy because there are a lot of hotels and restaurants in the area but we thought that was ok to be so close to the historic district and train station.

Pros- hotel is lovely, twin room is huge and very clean, bar staff were lovely and the location is a 7 minute walk to central station. Cons- the pillows are awful so tough to sleep on them, the bathroom has a fan that makes noise if the electricity card is in so you have to either listen to it all night or use the bathroom in the dark at night and one of the receptionist wasnt very friendly

I would stay at an MK hotel again. My only issue is that the neighborhood was noisy and the windows didn’t filter out the noise. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Amina and Mikhola were excellent very funny. They make beer on site and it’s very good. And you can take a glass of it up to your room. To power anything in the room you have to insert your room card into a slot and leave it there till you leave the room. Room for one was comfortable. Bed was comfortable but the pillows too soft. The hotel is close to the central train station and easy to get to. Food was great. They do have soap dispensers for the sink and in the shower. Nice touch. Plenty of plugs and a few with usb ports. If you don’t mind a little noise then I recommend this MK hotel. I would definitely stay with them again.

No staff around at all. A machine to check in and out. It was an awful experience. Hard floors and doors that slam even if people are quiet, so very noisy. The room was very hot and unable to change temperature.

The location is great and the room, although small, is comfortable and clean. The staff is very unhelpful but the stay is worth the price. If you’re planning on spending a decent amount of your stay in the hotel room I would look elsewhere. If you’ll be out and about then this is the place for you.
