Our first hotel during our bike trip along the Mosel. Loved the place. Also, the bikes arrived safely from our transport company. Good food and beer! Excellent restaurant for dinner
I was looking for a close place to stay while visiting Eltz Castle. The walk up to the castle was very scenic but difficult in some areas. I wanted to hike to it because I didn't want to bother with crowds of people, so I took more of a leisure way up.
The room was big and spacious and it is situated in a very quiet area in the town. It was nice to get a good nights sleep.
Room was definitely not as advertised, the hotel was quite full and we got "what they had left", view of parking lot, on a floor without elevator access...
Fabulous classic hotel on the Moselle. The building has tons of character and all the modern amenities one would want/need and expect. It is family run by really hospitable and wonderful people who know how to treat their guests. I was only there one night during offseason, but was treated like the most important guest they would have all year. The meal in their dining room was exceptional and the service exemplary. The proprietors went to great lengths to make sure my stay was outstanding in every way, including giving me a ride to the trail that led to Burg Eltz on a rainy day. For anyone looking to stay in the area, this is the perfect place, and only a short walk to the Müden train station.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Lack of little comforts.
The staff here were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very nicely set out but the rooms are are on the small side of small and no kettle, coffee maker etc. The location of the hotel is great being directly across the road from the river, within walking distance of anywhere in town and a short drive to Burg Eltz. For the cost the room isn’t terrible value but if we are back in the area we would stay elsewhere just simple on the room size and lack of the little comforts in the room.
We stopped here between castle visits and Trier. Nice view of the river across the roadway from the dining room in the front of the building. The view from our room was somewhat obscured by the roof but still nice. Good space in the room w/large bath by European standards and included a work desk. Staff was friendly.

Valley of wine and Rhine!
A pretty good hotel for our biking trip, located in the foothills of the Mosel valley near Cochem. The rooms were traditional little tired for the price paid but the food was pretty good too. When the sun shines the outside patio for drinks is a must. There's a little crazy golf course outside which is fun and you can try local wines produced by the Sewing family too at a reasonable price.
A lovely location surrounded by vineyards, mountains and lovely smooth roads. It's a great place to stay if you are trying out the Nürburgring.
Good hotel for its price. We could see the beautiful Mosel river from our window. Berg Eltz is behind the hotel. You can take a long hike to Eltz or 15 minutes drive. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful
Beautiful location by the river Mosel. Wery nice staff, clean hotel.
Downside was the railroad on the back of the hotel. So if possible request room from the riverside.
Hotellet ligger vackert precis bredvid floden.
