We had a great stay for the eclipse. Going through a change of ownership with a great plan for the future. Great remote isolated location where everything and all the problems of your home / work life disappear and you are in the real rolling hill of Texas. Great legendary Texas hospitality

Perfect place to live in the moment
If you are looking for a unique getaway or vacation, don't hesitate to visit Y.O. Ranch. We sought out a place to stay to experience the beauty of a "dark sky" - unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and it was completely overcast the weekend of our stay. However, we still had an amazing time in the natural beauty of Central Texas. The Sam Houston cabin was perfect for our family (including two teenage boys); clean, spacious with comfortable beds. Most of our time was spent either in the nearby grounds enjoying the natural surroundings and wildlife (e.g. zebras, donkeys, capybara, etc.!) or in the main facility playing pool, shuffleboard, or watching college football on several large TVs throughout the property. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. You will feel like time slows down while you are there and enjoy being in the moment. Tip: Y.O. is about 45-60 minutes away from restaurants. Either build that in to your plans, or inquire about their meal plan. Book activities in advance as there is plenty to do on the ranch. They recently rebuilt a very nice swimming pool that would be ideal for those visiting in the warmer part of the year.
