Excellent choice!!
Excellent hotel! This hotel has just recently been renovated. It was clean, modern, and stylish. The bed was comfortable. The bathrooms are huge. They also have a beautiful wine bar in the lobby, featuring Shelton Vineyards, which is located less than 5 minutes from the hotel. The breakfast had plenty to choose from. There was enough seating and they have a very adorable patio with a fire pit table. The staff is professional and friendly.

Very clean and staff was nice. Comfortable bed and adequate space in the room. Other guests were very noisy at 7a.m., but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Barking dog on our floor that would not cease, so I’d take this into consideration if you plan to stay here as they allow pets. My biggest complaint is that there is little to NO lighting in the bathroom mirror area. Poor design on the renovation. If they aren’t going to change out the light above the mirror, then at least put in lighted make up mirrors!

Location is ideal, easy access to interstate. Beds are comfy and the pillows just soft enough. $75.00 dog fee is excessive. We’ve stayed at 45 hotels this year and this is the highest fee that we’ve paid.

This was a beautiful hotel. We enjoy the Hampton Inns, but this was the nicest one we've stayed in. Very clean, roomy and tasteful decor. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and love that there is always hot coffee available at coffee stations. Would definitely recommend and price was great for our family. We travelled with 2 teens, lots of room for us all.

Very nice hotel. Staff was nice. Looks newly renovated which was great. Clean, comfy bed. Easy to get to. Food choices nearby very limited. Breakfast was usual fare but good. Stayed here instead of Mount Airy. One night stay but would recommend.

Great staff and maintenance rep on our stay helped us when we needed a quick problem fixed. Oct 5th 2024 was our stay weekend-he and the staff on this weekend were so friendly and helpful. Hope they will be commended! Beautiful hotel and wine bar. Your wine bar bartender was so kind. Amazing service. Praying for her property in western NC. Maybe Shelton could help her.

We stayed one night, 2 rooms. Rooms were clean, comfortable and updated. Check in was easy and quick. The morning breakfast was great, a nice selection of breakfast foods, coffee and teas. Would definitely stay here again. We also had a 36 foot horse trailer with us and had to park in their parking area for trailers, it was located next to the property, easy to get in and out and was maybe a 2 minute walk to the hotel.

A little pricey for the area, but convenient to the highway. Restaurant next door was good and walkable. Hotel is fresh and clean. Nice bar and sitting area. Breakfasthad a good selection . Beds are comfortable, but pillows are all very soft. No form pillows. Have stayed here a few times in the past. The renovations are very good. Great improvement.

The hotel was so nice! I loved the wine bar. The continental breakfast was top notch. It was a very comfortable stay and such a beautiful pet friendly hotel. There is no hot tub in the pool area. That has been removed. Hotels.com shows a pic of it but it’s not there anymore
