Lovely time in your beautiful cabin! We had everything we needed. The only complaint we had was it was very dark in the living area at night—need more lamps to read by. Thanks for the wonderful time!!

Overall we were very pleased. Was just as described and exactly what we were looking for. A couple of things were the grill grates were really rusty so we couldn’t grill and some of the deck boards we loose. It looks like the owner upgraded with the covered deck recently so I'm looking forward to seeing what else they do! The sound of the screen doors closing reminds me of the cottage we would stay at as a kid. Please don’t change that! I would stay here again.

Amazing view but not for us
I didn’t like the vibe here at all. No coffee filters are provided. The rail on the stairs inside is too wide and is hard to hold onto. Bathroom lighting is horrible. Couldn’t get the outside fireplace to light. My bath water is hotter than the hot tub. The view is absolutely beautiful. That long PIN number is a pain to enter every time. The towels were super soft. It was nice to have ice trays. Thanks for having shampoo, conditioner, soap, and a hair dryer. The cleaning could’ve been better. There needs to be a curtain installed at the back door. The light comes in so bright from that and the sky lights that it’s hard to sit and watch TV. I heard knocking on the bathroom door but no one was there. I closed all the closet doors but when I came back from town the closet door was open where the laundry machine is. The king bed is very comfortable. The big window upstairs is super bright in the morning. Couldn’t find controllers for the Xbox. Rockers are nice on the screened in porch. Outdoor furniture is stained and ripped. Quiet area.

Great house ... poor service from Vacasa
Loved the house, nestled in the mountains. Had a maintenance issue that took over 24 hours to fix (and we were only there for 3 days). Towels were scratchy and cheap (don't know when they were last washed). Cheap toilet paper and paper towels. I will never use Vacasa to vacation again.

Great treetop Perch
We had a great stay. Spent lots of time outside watching tv on the treetop perch. One night it rained so it was super relaxing. Love the feel of the whole cabin. The master bedroom on the second floor was cozy. The only down side I could say is that the place was a little dusty in places and dead bugs above the fireplace. Nothing that can’t be fixed. Thanks for a fun stay

Heating quit during winter storm; we were left without support
On Christmas Eve night, the heating suddenly quit. Power was still on, thermostat still on, but no heat. This was during Winter Storm Elliott, and it was COLD. The temperature dropped rapidly in the house. I spent nearly 4 hours on phone and text with Vacasa's so-called support, who could give me nothing better than "I have put in a request to the local team, someone will call you soon." Finally at 1:00 AM a woman told me she could give us another place. That was their solution: that we pack up my elderly mother and geriatric dog, and all our stuff, load up the car, and drive down the steep, pitch-black, icy mountain road to some unknown location, all in the middle of the night. This was supposed to be the night we celebrated and remembered my father, who passed in October. Instead I spent it trying to get someone to help us fix the heat. Not even necessarily to come out, but at least to tell me what to do to fix it. We finally just gave up and went to bed, piling on all the blankets we could find along with all our clothes and towels. Christmas morning the heat came back on and the house slowly warmed. Finally someone called me, and said that probably the exhaust pipe had frozen. I asked if he would be coming to fix it: "Nah, it's working now." I asked if it was likely to happen again: "Naw, it shouldn't get cold enough to freeze again." I asked if there was anything we could do to ensure it didn't happen again: "Nope, don't worry about it." That exhaust pipe needs to be winterized -- literally just wrapped in a few dollars worth of insulation -- but they clearly just don't care. We should have cut our losses and left. But where were we going to go on Christmas day? With a dog? So we stayed, and sure enough it went out again overnight. I woke up Monday morning to the sound of my beloved mother shivering and desperately cold. I built the hottest fire I could, which warmed the place about 3 degrees, and we got packed up as quickly as we could and left. There has been no follow-up from Vacasa about any of this. This was our first Christmas without Dad, and it was always going to be hard. But this whole situation was salt in the wound. We just wanted to get out of town and try to have a pleasant Christmas. This wasn't it, and I cannot recommend booking with this property manager, Vacasa, because their support is a joke.
