Not worth the extra money
The W had been my go to hotel in the past. Now that it is owned by large hotel chain, I can see the difference. The little things that made the hotels special no longer exist.

Very nice hotel. Restaurant is good. I wish there were more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels and bathrobes. Not sure who thinks it is a god idea to have 1 hook in the bathroom when more than 1 person is occupying the room

Beautiful hotel, excellent concierge service, dinner was exceptional. The downside…No one was available to help us with our bags above arrival. Also, the hotel is not very accommodating for people with disabilities.

Terrible experience. Isn’t the W supposed to be a decent hotel? Front door staff standing around talking to eachother, don’t open door or start turnstile, no offer for bag, and dont greet you. Front desk staff doesn’t say hi how are you, just asks for ID and credit card. Then the room had wildly tangled bed mattress with major lumps. I felt like I was legit at a 3 star hotel. This is not how W Hotel used to be.

The rooms are smaller than I expected, the shower has a glass wall with Curtin facing the bed and sometimes feels a little awkward, but it opens up the room size a little more. The amenities at the building are fabulous and the vibe in the lobby is buzzing.
