Worst Hotel Experience of My Life As a travel industry professional with over eight years of experience staying at top-tier hotels like Marriott, Hyatt, and Four Seasons, I was shocked by how terrible this place was. I chose Lux for its proximity to friends and was misled by the attractive photos online. From the moment I arrived, it was a disaster. After a delayed flight, I called ahead to confirm my late check-in, as I always do. The front desk staff were rude, unhelpful, and lacked basic courtesy. When I mentioned I’d forgotten a credit card, I asked about using Apple Pay. The receptionist flatly refused and didn’t even suggest cash as an option until after wasting my time. The room was horrifying—filthy, damaged, and resembling a seedy brothel. Mold, broken ceilings, and an overall disgusting atmosphere made it feel unsafe and unsanitary. The neighborhood was equally alarming, filled with drug activity and an unsettling vibe. I can’t believe such an establishment is in business. Avoid at all costs. Unsafe, unclean, and unprofessional. This hotel should not be an option for anyone.

The reviews are bad for the Lelux. I mentioned this to the host. He told me it was all lies and the rooms are clean and it’s just people complaining. I went to the room and the room was dirty! Mold in the shower, the furniture was not clean, hair, crumbs, etc. drapes were dirty, the ceiling is just disgustingly filthy (drop ceiling). But the worst part was seeing two different hookers and people on drugs.
