This hotel is ok. Its sketchy after dark. There was a protest happening right out front of our hotel during our stay. The hotel sent out notices advising us to stay in side , encouraged us to eat at their restaurant rather than go outdoors. The protesters were fine , they didn't bother us at all. Room service was terrible. I had to call twice to ask about menu. First time they told me to look it up on line or our tv. When i finally found their menu on my phone i called them back asked for pizza , they didn't have it, asked for fries they didn't have it. They were rude and curt so i just gave up and ordered from skip the dishes. Front desk and housekeeping was wonderful. I would never stay here again.

We wanted a late afternoon snack, waited 20 minutes no one came to see us so left to another restaurant. Very unpleasant waiting watching staff polishing glasses vs seeing us and we were seated by a hostess. Came back from dinner hoping to have a nightcap, everything closed at 10:30 pm… early for a dt hotel. Wet bar in room very basic. Shower tap broken, phone doesn’t connect to anything, you have to go through the front desk, 2 coffee pods no creamer. No fan working in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable and room clean.

The hotel was amazing! Loved our room and accomodations. The breakfast was delicious. However, the room service was terrible. The food we ordered was expensive and barely edible. Hurricane Debby came through when we were there and we lost all power for 2 hours. But it wasn't the hotel's fault (although I thought they would have had a more powerful generator), because the whole surrounding area was without power also. There had been bridges closed and lots of flooding! Can't do anything about Mother Nature. The hotel staff did offer umbrellas if we had to venture outside. And the valet was very efficient and accomodating!

The Birks hotel is a major treat! Loved it!
This is a gorgeous hotel in a fantastic location! The bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in. Service was impeccable. They absolutely need new TV’s, smart TV’s. The only other complaint was our room had a couple of noticeable stains on the carpet. It was awesome that a water girl came around everyday with bottled water. Water, coffee and tea are free everyday. Overall, we completely love it and would definitely stay here again!
