The property is showing it’s age. Minimum maintenance is done. The cold water side of my shower would not open for water. I’m sure this just didn’t happen. Could not shower and too late to be changing rooms. Was there for one evening. At night different bugs creeped around the floor. Yes you can expect bugs in the tropics but there are exterminators too. The staff was very nice. Took time to answer my questions. I would be reluctant to stay again based on condition and noisy location.

Toby’s is acquaint hotel. It’s within walking distance to Sunset Beach, has a nice pool, and a small Restaurant. The rooms have a nice patio or balcony, with seating and a table for two. The room is comfortable, however, the beds are a full size bed, and not a queen or king. The picture online is deceiving because the headboard is the size of a king size bed, but the bed is only a full size bed with the end tables on both ends. The bed is a little too firm, it’s not a very comfortable sleep. There was also a little problem with ants in the unit.

The staff were really kind and the room was spotless accept for the ants! We had an infestation when we woke up this morning. Pool wasn’t as clean but the water temperature was just right. One night stay only, was suffice.

Second time staying. First visit was in a standard room, this time booked deluxe. The first room the tv didn’t work, and not enough outlets for the main appliances, i had to change rooms. The second “deluxe room” that I was moved to was just like the standard room, same floor, same double/queen bed, not a king bed which was what I booked for the deluxe. The only difference between rooms is the coffee maker and the refrigerator. Bed sheet had stains, and tear in sheet. I cleaned handles and the toilet seat, they were dirty. It was gross. Hair dryer did not work in the room. Now, the staff is alright. Grounds are well kept. The service in the restaurant is pretty bad. Super slow. I mean I ordered a meal Togo at 7:50am. Asked for pickup at 9am. I arrive back at 9:03 and the main woman at the register walks past me eating a cup of oatmeal. I’m still waiting for my cup of oatmeal. Everything is made to order. I arrive back and it’s still another 5minutes before mine is done. There’s a young man in the restaurant who has waited on me 2-3times. He doesn’t put meals in promptly. First time my meal was comped. I waited over 45mins for meals on both visits. If you order brown stew chicken expect chard’s, and a higher ratio of bones to meat. It tasted well. This place is okay. I appreciate the convenience in its location. always try to book this place from a third party, because it’s definitely not worth more than $100 a night.

The room was clean, spacious and renovated with a nice balcony. The hotel is in close proximity to the Hip Strip. There are beaches close by and a fair amount of eateries, gift shops and supermarkets. The staff is efficient.

This was my third day at Toby’s resort. Great place to stay because it’s close to the airport reasonably priced with good service and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable as is the property. Good restaurant on site and close to Dead End Beach where u can watch planes landing and sunset. Vendor on beach sells drinks

Toby’s Resort is our go to for lodging in Montego Bay the night before our flight home. It has been consistently good as a one-night stopover on our way home. Staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. And the grounds are well maintained. The food at the restaurant is average but acceptable. The area is rather noisy due to being on a main road with lots of vehicles going by day and night, but it’s only minutes to the airport and the can arrange a ride with a wonderfully charming driver for only $15. So, all in all, we like it and use it every visit.

I love Toby’s. It’s 5 mins away from the airport and right off the Hip Strip.The staff are professional & friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. Every room has a balcony. And the grounds are magnificent. The hotel has 24 hour security. I love the fact that the tv channels were updated you can even stream. Some rooms has a fridge. I just wish that all rooms had a fridge & microwave

We had a great stay - only one night before we traveled home. We got to enjoy the pool (clean and refreshing), a delicious dinner in the restaurant and drinks at the pool bar. An affordable and family friendly option in Montego Bay.
