Beautiful property
Overall it is an incredible place. We stayed with my parents. Close to Bayeaux, had everything we needed. Grounds are lovely! Be aware that there are only 2 actual bedrooms. One with a king bed and one with twins. All the other beds are futons in living areas. Worked out fine for us but might not be great for more than 2 couples. We loved it and would stay again! The hosts were gracious and responsive, house was huge!

Absolutely Incredible!
We can’t say enough good things about our stay at the Farm Manor in Bayeux! The entire property was absolutely incredible and exceeded our expectations in every way. It was a pleasure to meet Christophe and to learn about the 14 year restoration of the property. It was very quiet, yet a short drive to markets, bakeries and the center of the town. If our travels take us to Bayeux in the future we would hope to be able to stay here again. We really enjoyed our stay at this property.

Unique, Historical and Lovely Farm Manor
A most unique, historical and tranquil chateaux with a beautiful garden and courtyard. The view to the steeple of the Cathedral of Bayeux is lovely. The farm manor is immaculate and the 14-year restoration of this landmark a true labor of love. The proximity of this property to the train station and center of Bayeux makes it a convenient location for adventures along the Normandy coast and beyond. And it is tranquil and welcoming place just to sit, ponder and admire. We would love to return and delighted to recommend highly. We had a 6 in our party of family and friends.

Merveilleux
The property itself is a stunningly beautiful work of craftsmanship, history, and attention to detail. It exudes tranquility and charm. What magnifies the quality of staying here is the hospitality of the owners, Christophe and Veronique. Thoughtful and accommodating, they are available to be helpful and simultaneously respect your privacy. This is a stay we put on our list of places to which we hope to return someday.

We just had a wonderful stay in Bayeux! Christophe was a great host, very communicative. Location was perfect, we could walk into town through a beautiful nature preserve and it is centrally located for visiting the sites of Normandy. Our kids loved exploring the property and nature preserve.

This has been by far one of our family’s favourite vacation rentals. Christophe is very helpful. His pride in his property shows with the huge undertaking of years of renovations and restoration. So grateful for sharing this historic property with us! The location is perfect. Ask how to walk into town along the river- it was one of my son’s top 3 favourite things to see in all of France. The grounds allow your kids to stretch out. Definitely recommend!!

Gorgeous and Unique Stay in Bayeux!
My husband and I traveled with our 4 daughters to Bayeux in September. We absolutely loved staying in this amazing and unique property. It is even more beautiful and charming than the pictures show. It had all the modern conveniences we needed but still made us feel as if we had traveled back in time. During our time in Bayeux we explored the beautiful town, toured the D-Day beaches and American Cemetery, and spent a day at Mont Sainte-Michel. The location of the apartment is perfect and we had such a wonderful time! Normandy is beautiful and we hope to go back again one day. Christophe is very proud of his property (as he should be!) and was kind to share the history with us. He was very responsive and accomodating. I highly recommend staying at the Manor... you won't regret it!

Historic, restored manor house and property
What can I possibly say about this place-it’s the only place I would stay in this region, my second stay. The owners communicate so well, if I had a question, it was answered quickly. Christophe came out to greet us and Veronique also came out when we were in the courtyard to say hello. Such nice people! It made me feel I was coming to visit friends that I had known for many years! They live in the manor house and are available to give a tour of the property and what it was known for. I would certainly advise people to stay, a great reunion house or a place for many people!

fantastic place to stay
i felt like we were on some kind of movie set. it is a perfectly restored and maintained 17th century manor house with a fortified farm, that is now mostly a huge lavender field. There is a massive cider press in a room adjoining the guest quarters. our group included myself, my wife, my daughter, and son-in-law and two 9-year-old grandchildren and there was plenty of room for all of us. The living room is enormous with a massive stone fireplace. The host was always very friendly and helpful. it is a perfect place to stay to visit Bayeux and the Normandy beaches. we could walk into town on a boardwalk and trail though a wetlands area. The only complaint we would have was the lack of fans or better ventilation due to the extremely hot weather while we were there.

Lovely Manor in Bayeux
We rented this manor from Christophe for a few days and really enjoyed the property. We came during the D-Day festivities and it was a great location for a home base. It had everything we needed with a fully functional kitchen, dining room/living room, laundry room, a sitting room, 2 private bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The property has been restored (and still some work is being done but nothing that impacted our stay). It is a beautiful property and I recommend you walk around the gardens and visit the horses. We saw a jackalope one early morning. A lot of history to the family property. Christophe and his wife are both very personable. It is close to grocery stores and downtown Bayeux. The only thing I would mention is that the listing mentions 4 bedrooms but that is because there is a pull out sofa in both the sitting room and the living room. I would say that there are 2 private bedrooms and 2 rooms with pull out sofas (non-private). For us this worked because we only needed to private bedrooms. I would really recommend this manor if you are going to be in Bayeux or nearby.

Historic, spacious, private property in Normandy
This historic, quiet and fascinating property provides a unique experience. Our family of 4 stayed for a week in the large, spacious apartment. The hosts are gracious, responsive and eager to share the history and will provide many recommendations for activities in the area. An amazing ancient apple press is through a door off the master bedroom. There are 2 true bedrooms - the master and one with twin beds. There is a comfortable double/queen sofa bed in the great room which has a door and is private. The second sofa bed is in an open area serving as a study. There is one shower and the master bath with bath tub and hand held extension. This property is rustic, with some lovely antiques, ample storage, parking and only a mile or two from Bayeux with an amazing cathedral, famous tapestry, many wonderful restaurants and a great base for Normandy and northern Brittany. Our family loved staying here and learning about its unique history. There is an amazing market on Wednesdays and Saturdays and would recommend L'Angle Saint Laurent restaurant. Great base for D-Day beach exploration. We would definitely return. Thank you Christophe for your gracious hospitality.

Great stay in Normandy!
Beautiful place to stay while we were touring Normandy! We would have loved to stay longer and hope to return in the future. Our family of five had plenty of space for sleeping and socializing. Christophe was an excellent host and did very well communicating details about arrival and updates about any changes. We wish we had more time to enjoy the accommodations as this place has a wonderful history of its own. Pleasantly surprised to find a second bathroom with a proper shower. The kitchen had everything we needed to make small meals and snacks. We drove to Normandy but our daughters arrived by train which was nearby. Overall, a great experience and we will be back!

BEST PLACE EVER!!!!!!
We have lived and traveled all over the world and stayed in some beautiful places. Beautiful doesn’t begin to describe this Crémel Manor. It has breathtaking views, gorgeous sunsets, and then to top it off Christoph and Veronique were so hospitable even letting us come a day earlier than we had expected. The villa (yes it was more like a villa than anything else) was so beautiful the living area was huge, the kitchen well equipped and stocked for large families, so many rooms all large with plenty of room and the decorations so well done with subtle accents that just made this place even more amazing. We love how there were two full bathrooms and that there was the original apple press off the balcony, this was one of the neatest things ever!! An added bonus is that it is inside a gated area very safe. The location was also the best we were less than a kilometer from downtown where they had great restaurants and the cathedral, also with amazing shops. The people in town were also so nice. Only 20 mins from Omaha beach, 40 mins to Utah, and only an hour and 20 mins to the beautiful Mont Saint Michel. We truly did not want to leave. So excited to return again in the spring time.
