Location was good, close to cable car and bus stop.
The property is in desperate need for some TLC. rooms are very tired, worn down and neglected. Not to resemble a true Ryokan. Charging 3*hotel rates but supplying a poor hostel standard. I skipped the second night and got a beautiful room in town for half the price.
Breakfast was ok.
really good facility, close to the water front which i love and in between several areas of interest that you can walk to. The showers and baths were an added bonus as we didnt know that it would include the hot bath, really good to come back to that after a long day. Staff was super friendly and there was a music venue right next door, although we had other things we wanted to do so we weren't able to go. The only issue we had was the pillows are a lot stiffer than what we're used to so it was a little uncomfortable at first, other than that, it was a really pleasant experience.
The owners are very sweet and the included breakfast in the morning was delicious! Perfect place to stay and I will definitely visit again.

Stayed for a winery near the hotel. “Amanohashidate Wine” is about 30 mins away from the hotel on foot. The hotel was old, traditional and well maintained. My room has no fridges but the owner accepted my favor to keep my wine in their fridge. He takes care of nature and organic food too.
