Very nice hotel and great staff. Only complaints were: Not enough lighting in room. The sink water - hot was hot and cold was cold, but if you tried to make it warm, by turning on hot and cold at same time it was only hot water that would come out?

Hip hotel.
It is a good place to stay. They need a bigger fitted sheet though. It isn’t even big enough to be tucked in so it moves making you end up touching the mattress pad. Also, the handle to flush the toilet kept falling off. Area has lots of restaurants and bars but strip club is across street and sec shop a block away.

I decided to stay at this hotel because it has a pool on a rooftop. I booked the hotel a couple of weeks prior to my stay. Less than 24 hours before I received I message that they will be hosting a concert on a rooftop but as a guest we can still use amenities. I was disappointed but decided to still give it a shot. Long story short, I did not enjoy my time by the pool because of all the drunk, noisy people from the street that come and go. Because there were a lot of people, the area was not properly cleaned, and the floor was covered with plastic bottles, chairs everywhere, and glassware from alcoholic drinks. I wish hotel notified me about the concert prior to my booking, I would not stay there.

We loved our room, the rooftop pool, and breakfast at the restaurant. The historic buildings in the neighborhood are beautiful. The staff was exceptionally friendly. We hope to stay here again.

The service provided by the Hewing Hotel hotel was IMMACULATE from start to finish. On top of it all, the hotel has one of the most gorgeous looks I've seen in recent memory. HIGHLY recommended.
