Hidden Gem of Saint Paul
We live in Saint Paul, and I needed a getaway. After checking the airfare, the idea of a trip within our own city seemed possible. Something unique was needed. Celest was the answer. It is a wonderful property with an amazing history. The bar is intimate but watch out for Kevin. I highly recommend it for the pleasure or business traveler.

Hidden gem! Quick walk to Xcel center for last minute concert. Love the character of the building. Everything seemed clean- ice bucket had water in it so that hadn't been checked. Would stay again.

What ever they pump into their vents stinks to high heaven! We had to open the window and put the heat up which didn’t reach the bathroom, making getting out of the shower a ver unpleasant experience

Charming hotel
Charming hotel with interesting furnishings and friendly staff. Our room, with a king bed, had only one chair which we found inconvenient. The location is handy for good dining options.

The worst part about it was the price. Inner city hotels charge a lot. However place was older but styled very well. Place has some noise as the walls are thin. Otherwise slept well and they keep the place cool.

Great Stay!
We stayed for a concert at Palace Theater. Great walking distance and close parking. Checking in was a breeze! Greeted us right away and explain about additional charges and refund when we leave. Explained where our room was and explained breakfast. Beautiful and clean hotel! Lock the doors at night to keep everyone safe. Cant wait to stay again!

A wonderfully unique and beautiful place to stay. Wonderful ambience, great staff, rooms were quaint and comfortable. Bonus was the bar area and daily included breakfast served in the chapel. Area is downtown and walking distance to so many places. The hotel although fully booked was peaceful and quiet. Garage parking, for a daily fee was right next door...safe and convenient. The room i had was facing the capital and the view was great. The only place i would stay now when I return to Saint Paul. Not only was the staff amazing, i got to met one of the owners and he was so pleasant and shared the storyy of the building and rejuvination of it into this wonderful hotel. Highly recommend! Only 15 minute walk to the Exel Energy Centre too, and Mickeys Famous Diner is just down the street.

This property was very unique in that it used to be a convent. It was very charming and well-kept for the most part. The area around it was sketchy at best. One evening, an impaired man was standing on the corner exposing himself and yelling at everyone. The area was shady at best. I had no issued though.
