We had a wonderful experience at this hotel! It was so beautiful and welcoming! We have already recommended to many friends! Thank you for a great weekend getaway!
Fantastic history and antiques are wonderful throughout the house. The owners are very interesting and a good tour by the Innkeeper/chef Tom was great ! Food Yummie
It was fun to see the theater in the basement and learn about the history, sssh you will have to go and see for yourself
Very enjoyable experience! We stayed in the George's Suite, and was nice to have two rooms within the suite. The Innkeeper, Tom, was wonderful, very welcoming and we really enjoyed the welcome tour! Breakfast the next morning was great as well. The area surrounding the mansion was a bit out of the way and run down, but nothing terrible at all. All in all, great stay and would recommend for a nice B&B experience.
Although the building and interior is historic and interesting, the air conditioning DOES NOT WORK in the rooms. The upstairs hallway and staircase was somewhat cool, but our room was miserably hot even though the air conditioning was on. When we commented to the Innkeeper about it, he sort of brushed it off as "a characteristic of these old mansions". Would have been better to show a bit more sympathy.

I know this will be read and responded to but I will not be reading the response. Shame on me and my wife for not doing more research beforehand because we would not have stayed here if we had known it was a haunted house. We knew walking in there was something off and we discovered afterwards that the place was haunted so it all made sense then. The neighbors may be nice or whatever but the location is in a bad part of town. This was confirmed to us when we spoke with a cop after a Brewers game who actually walked the beat where we stayed. He said it was not safe and not to walk with our heads down on our cell phones. Apparently there had been a murder of a 16 year old a street or two over also a week or so earlier. The mansion itself is nicely decorated and the room we stayed in was spacious and we did like the hot tub. However, we stayed 2 nights and each night we debated whether or not to leave early, eventually staying. We stayed out in Milwaukee as long as possible enjoying what the city had to offer. I think from now on, because we love Wisconsin, we will stay at a chain hotel instead.
Tom (innkeeper) was great. Very helpful with recommendations for places to eat etc. Great breakfasts & the history tour of the home was fantastic. Great time and lots of fun.
The Toms are wonderful! They were super accommodating of eating preferences for breakfast and my last-minute travel changes that resulted in a late check-in. I had a lovely time staying at the Brumder Mansion!
My husband and I came into town for the Kenny Chesney concert. The Mansion staff was great. Our room was very spacious, very clean and it was nice going to sleep without people running up and down the halls making noise like our last stay at a local hotel. Breakfast was great and I would definitely stay again!
The mansion was beautiful, the room is exactly what I had hoped. The innkeeper Tom's breakfast service exceeds that of any restaurant that I've been to.
Our stay here was wonderful! We came to town for a surprise birthday event. Unfotuntantly, our flight was a bit delayed and by the tie we arrived it was close to 1am. We were in contact with Tom the innkeeper stayed up to greet us once we finally arrived. Tom was gracious enough to serve our breakfast a bit later than normal due to our late evening arrival. After breakfast, Tom took us on a very informative and interesting tour packed with much history of the mansion and former residents. This was a perfect place for our little weekend get-away. Very historic, quaint, warm and inviting B & B.
Our stay was excellent! My husband and I were looking for a place in Milwaukee to spend the night where it would feel like we left to take a real trip. Despite the mansion being only a 10 minute drive, it was if we were transported to another time and place.
It was the perfect in-town getaway! Place was clean, bed was comfortable, whirlpool tub was wonderful. The place was well heated -- never even noticed the below zero temps! The mansion is charming and full of history. The tour is interesting and the proprietor was very nice. Breakfast in the nook was relaxing. Would definitely go back.
I stayed here with my best friend for a fun staycation. I loved the history, the innkeeer Tom was attentive and friendly. We had an amazing breakfast in the morning. Room was clean, and our in room hot tub was clean and hot nice and hot. We were really looking forward to the fireplace and that didn't work so we were dissapointed. Will for sure go again (hopefully the fireplace works next time).

Historical beauty with some modern touches
The friendly innkeeper met us and shared some of the history of the home. Our room was a two room suite with a bathroom and Jacuzzi tub. It was very spacious and filled with antiques. The breakfast was delicious. The home does show it's age and could use some sprucing up. TV, Direct TV and DVD player in our room with many movies to choose from.
Around midnight it became very loud. Not sure if people were arriving home or if the theater had let out.
The innkeepers were very attentive. Overall a good experience.
We came to town to meet family members from Boston at Miller Park for a 6:30 baseball game. The game went late and I sent word to the property that we would be late. Extra innings made it worse. The property Mgr was unhappy about it and let us know. The door lock routine was BS. Had to call my wife down to let me back in after parking the car. He prepared a biscuit breakfast and delivered it to our room with enough time to eat before our departure. He cream provided for the coffee curdled in the cup. We inquired about getting coffee early but that didn't seem available in the common area either. It served the purpose but if the property can only afford one person to do everything, then service will always suffer. Wouldn't discourage people from going here with warnings of the limitations but unlikely to return myself. Very beautiful and well cared for mansion.
Can't think of a single negative thing that we could say about our stay at the Brumder Mansion. If you are looking for a very rewarding, quiet and intimate couple's stay near Miller Park, this is the place.
Our stay at the Brumder Mansion was great! It's a beautiful house with all the amenities of a 4 star hotel and more! When we checked in we were given a brief tour of the mansion and told we were welcome to relax and enjoy the library and parlor. They had complimentary tea, coffee, pastries, soda and even beer and wine. Our room had a mini fridge and a fireplace. The entire house including our room was furnished with beautiful antiques. The breakfast was delicious and the service friendly and professional. I highly recommend a stay in this unique and inviting bed and breakfast!
