this was once a very nice property but is slowly going downhill, though it's still a notch or two better than other hotels in this price range. The area is safe and it's close to some nice running/hiking trails. It's a about a mile or so from historic downtown Wauwatosa, a very nice area for food and drinks.

Check-in was easy. Music provided by Hotel was too loud outside and near the reception area and it was difficult to hear the staff. Check-in area, reception area, and everything leading up to the room, looked clean and tidy. Upon reaching the second floor, the smell of mildew was extremely strong. There’s too much humidity in the hotel and it has a strong mildew smell. The room looked clean. But an overall appearance due to some of the room items needing updating as well as the bathroom more so the bathtub, it made it look dirty What I stay here again? No. I would probably spend $30-$50 more and stay at a different hotel in the same area.

Our room had torn and terribly stained curtains that looked like possible old blood or bodily fluids. The pool area had mold or something around the floor and trim tiles.

Check in and check out very friendly. Buffet breakfast you are on your own. No waitress. Coffee was at main area. If someone was not honest could have not paid and walked away.

The bed was very comfortable, and things were clean, which is most important to me. However the carpet was pretty worn, and a few things showed their age. The rooms no longer have refrigerators or microwaves, which I missed having on this trip. The staff was very kind and helpful.

The nicest most courteous front desk and staff I have met in years. We had never heard of Sonesta before and were pleasantly surprised and impressed! Beautiful, clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay again!

Great hotel for the money
This was a great hotel for the money. The beds were comfy and our room was clean. It was in a. Great location for our trip as well close to Children’s Hospital. I would stay again. Don’t expect it to be a $250 hotel for $120 that we paid.

Spend a bit more somewhere else, this is not it.
Great location but needs a big remodel or someone to take better care of the building and housekeeping. Halls smell like the trash was seating around for a long time. Carpet smells like cheap carpet powder with mildew. Ladies at the desk were rude to customers. The only person that had a smile was the guy picking up the trash in the lobby. The smell on the hallway stopped as soon as a close the room door. Room was clean, bathtub had mold growing on the caulk, had to take a shower with my sandals. For the price I was expecting at least a well-kept building.
