Upon arrival, the valet completely ignored me, so I proceeded to unload my things as normal. After checking in, I realized that my room didn’t even include a baseline refrigerator or microwave. There were two of us staying, but the bathroom was only equipped with one towel (which smelled of mildew after a single use.) I paid for the upgrade that included the breakfast buffet, but the three nights I stayed, breakfast was never set up once. On the third morning, I asked a team member and they suggested I sit down at the full service restaurant and pay even more for breakfast. Same issue with the internet. Unless you want speeds that rival a McDonald’s parking lot access point for your WiFi; you’re paying extra for that as well. I get that they want you to spend more on upgrades, room service, etc but when I think “Double Tree by Hilton” I think luxury. I can get better treatment at a Motel 6. At least they’ll leave the light on for you.

Customer service was lacking. The breakfast options weren't great. I paid extra for the breakfast. Might as well have stayed in a hotel with free continental breakfast. I've been to other Double Tree locations, hence why I picked this one. Not what I was expecting.

Not so great.
Decided to upgrade to a junior suite, based on pictures with a large soak tub. Was assigned a room apparently in the old tower with out of date furnishing. Damaged shower rod, blood/fecal stains on bathroom wallpaper. The bed itself was clean and comfy. The popcorn ceiling and dirty carpet. No minifridge, all kinda made it feel cheap for what i paid.

Our room was never cleaned. We were there 3 days. Breakfast was a fiasco. Each item had to be brought individually. Oatmeal, then brown sugar, then butter , then utensils..... paper is peeling off the walls.....so sad. Will never go back. Charged us for 1 night after our friend had checked out.....

Nailed it!!!!!
The staff made this trip. I have stayed at multiple hotels in Midland and they were absolutely horrible. These ladies nailed it regardless if it was the front office or the bar staff or cleaning staff nailed it. I highly recommend this hotel as the best in Midland. Thank you for the best stay I have had in a long time. Can't wait to see y'all again!

We enjoyed the beds and the tv. Wi-fi was non existent. Bathrooms were ok. Pool was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were given the wrong room. They changed it but the process was very slow and took nearly an hour w/o a line. Ice makers on most floors were not functioning, no fridge or microwave in the rooms, and only one wlevator was functioning throughout the hotel. Overall not worth what we paid. The beds were comfy and staff was very nice.

Tub super slippery. Difficult standing EVEN holding on to grab bar with both hands. Bathroom teeny. No liquid could come out of the bottles of shampoo, body wash, etc. Noisy. Very unpleasant stay.
