Exceeded expectations!
This was the most amazing place to stay! Beautiful old mansion, HUGE room which included an ensuite full bathroom and sitting area. Decor was incredible. And they were starting to decorate for Christmas which made it more magical. And the bed…OMG! The most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in!! Location was great, too. And for the price….i still can’t believe it. Best birthday vacation ever!

I never imagined that I would be able to afford to stay in a beautiful mansion but the Hamilton Hoppin House help make that dream come true. The house is very luxurious and you will feel like royalty. It is close to everything.

Lovely old historic mansion, huge rooms and such a comfy bed. Only us seemed to be staying in the house, which was a little un-nerving considering the properties history! No owners are on site and there is nobody to greet you. Entry is difficult as it is all done remotely. Excellent value for money and very convenient for Newport and its amenities.

This place was beautiful. The room were decorated in historical theme. We love the keyless entrance and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We never saw one person. The only complaint we had was the water needs to be run for 15 minutes before the water got hot enough to take a shower. Other than that we would love to stay there again.

A bed to Sleep in sorta
My overall experience was poor. The contact number provided with vague arrival instructions is different from the # Hotels.com uses. There wasn't anyone ever available on-site. The bed, well you sink 6 inches anytime you sat/laid on it. There was no instructions on how the heating system provided and the room. The reason we checked out early, was finding multiple electrical issues in the room, including an outlet behind the bed missing cover plate (exposed contacts) and a broken cover plate adjacent to the sink.

There was only one cream for coffee. The coffee cup was too small to hold a large cup of coffee. It would have been nice to get more key formation on codes. Left several messages and finally they text codes

When we arrived in our room, the plumbing in the bathroom was making a loud gurgling noise. I asked the housekeeper to get it repaired. When we returned from dinner, there was a message from the host saying it wasn't fixed. We stayed up all night with plumbing noise. Host said they would arrange a refund through Expedia but hasn't happened.

This property is really clean and grounds are beautiful. But, they don’t even offer coffee to their guests. For this price you’d think they at least offer coffee or tea.
