The Carriage House Inn was a terrific location to visit beaches, the car museum, wharf, restaurants. The clerk gave me a great tip to visit Sachuest Point, a beautiful nature preserve which we loved.

Very convenient to downtown Newport. Being an Inn it tended to be noisy especially at night. Breakfast was just ok could use improvement.

It was nice however for a bed and breakfast type facility expected cooked breakfast ex. Grits, eggs, bacon, etc and not a pop in the microwave food. In addition the furniture was old and broken. But overall the staff made it a delightful place to stay.

We love the Carriage house when we visit Newport! The woman that greeted us is so sweet and wonderful to talk to about the area. One thing to think about is to add a shower bar on the outside of the shower/tub. The shower seemed slippery (Just stepping in).Just a thought. We will be back!
