This Hotel is such a gem. We loved this place. We would without a hesitation stay here again. Especially for Dia De Los Muertos celebrations. This hotel has the utmost respect and courtesy for their guests. The Breakfast buffet, is TOP SHELF. The restaurant is a great spot for dinner and lunch, and their staff must have been trained at a michelin restaurant. Everything about Hotel Cathedral is STELLAR! Your family will be cared for very well in every aspect. And above all SAFE!

Great place to stay!
We spent five nights and the hotel staff me all our needs promptly and with courtesy. It’s a great location accessible to all the historical sites. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping around too.

What I didn’t like was that when I got there they told me that there was no reservation for five rooms that they only had a reservation for one room, That was very inconvenient for the guest. I took with me on this trip because they were all over 70 years old and they panic because they thought they didn’t have a room. They canceled all the rooms and then they charge me more for the rooms that made me very upset.

We love being in or near the zocalo and all the action of what makes Mexico City unique. The Hotel Catedral put us right in the Centro and they treated us with like valued guests on all counts. Highly recommend.

The hotel is located just one block from the main cathedral and Zocale Centro hisorico on a relatively quiet Street. I was greeted with a bottle of water and some cookies during my wait for checking in. Bilingual Front desk Staffs are polite and very helpful. My room was spacious, clean and quiet. The hotel has 2 restaurants, one for ordering a la carte including breakfast at a very reasonable price, the other is for breakfast buffet. I had a pleasant 3 night stay. Areas that can be improved on include: a) the card scanner on the room door; and b) the outside touch button (for summoning elevator to your floor) of the Schindler elevators on ground and 3rd floors. They are not working on repeated touches or pressing hard on.

A Great Guest Friendly Hotel
This Hotel has great staff and makes everyone feel at home. They provide water in the rooms plus snacks in the lobby. The restaurant has great food for breakfast, lunch or supper with a variety of choices. The place is clean and a limited number of daily newspapers are available for hotel guests in the lobby each morning. Beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Being in Mexico City's Historical District, it is close to many restaurants, world-class museums, art galleries, historical buildings and entertainment venues such as the Zinco Jazz Club.
