Very pretty pool and courtyard and pleasant, sunny breakfast area. Convenient to airport and quick taxis available as needed. The "deluxe" rooms toward the back looked much nicer than the older style room we had but it was fine for one night. I think the little Mayan ruin toward the back might even be real! Interesting and friendly place.

It was great once upon a time and then...
My wife and I have stayed here few times and the reason we have come back to this place is because its a very reasonably priced hotel with all the amenities and overall a clean place, until this time...We had so many cockroaches in the room, mold in the ceiling and near the AC, bathroom sink was clogging and the swimming pool was very dirty. Overall very disappointed with this place. The quality of this place has gone down. One thing thats been consistent is the food which has always been very poor quality and they continue to maintain that. Will not be going back here again. The prices have increased since last year and the amenities and quality have gone down.

The property was close to the airport in Merida: a good thing. I arrived at noon and was not given a room until three thirty . I asked the desk clerk, if there was any opportunity to have my room made up a bit earlier and I Could see that she resented the question. 1 1/2 hours into waiting for my room I asked her again if there was a possibility to have it made up earlier and I could tell she was irritated. I finally got into the room at 3:30 after waiting in an un air-conditioned area for 3 1/2 hours. I ordered a club sandwich at the hotel restaurant thinking it would be a good choice- and it was horrible. The other menu items may be fine, but I took a picture of the club sandwich to show people back home: it was so so bad. The room itself was comfortable and clean, however I will not be staying at this hotel again because of the treatment I received at the front desk while trying to check in a little bit early.

Upon arrival the bell boy was helpful and respectful which unfortunately is where the pleasant experience ended. The room we were given was not at all like the one pictured when booked, they left the window open and we were eaten by mosquitos in the night. The food from the restaurant was disgusting and overpriced for the quality. I asked for a couple extra water bottles at the front desk around midnight and the staff said no. They directed me to a nearby corner store to make any of the purchases I needed which at midnight isn’t the safest. Staff couldn’t have cared less to help and we felt ignored and neglected. Would NOT recommend staying here.
