Sustainability
The property has been built to modern day standards and includes internal insulation, under floor heating throughout (which is 25% more efficient than radiators), and being south facing benefits from passive solar gain. The energy supplier is EON, who only supply from renewable sources. Rainwater is harvested and used for the garden and with its own well that feeds the ponds and outdoor tap. All types of recycling facilities are available and the owners even supply bags for life for those guests that forget their own. Wildlife in all forms is encouraged to include bird boxes and bee friendly plants and the elusive red squirrel has been spotted very recently. Newts and frogs inhabit the lower pond and nets are available for children to go pond dipping.
