Family party

Room was clean and lovely but expected that because I paid extra for a superior room. We had no hot water so I had to have a bath and wash my hair in cold water. My husband went to see if they could sort it before he had one but they were not able to do it before our table wax booked at 6 pm. My husband also had a cold bath as we had traveled 130 miles and needed to freshen up. The next morning there was not a breakfast buffet as advertised. There was continental food but you had to order your half a tomato, one sausage, one egg, bacon and tiny pot of beans. My husband had his head bit off when he asked for toast and told she would do our tea before taking the order. We had thought you could do your own toast as breakfast buffets that's what you do. The waitress then came over and said so you just want toast and I said no we would like the cooked breakfast please. She walked away and brought it back without asking us how we wanted out eggs or what indeed we did want. Every other table was asked what eggs they wanted. I was given a bottle of wine ax an apology the night if the meal but the overall experience has made me decide no more best western hotels for me anymore. We cold have stayed at premier inn gut half the price but had never used beer western before. Never again !

Lovely hotel in picturesque surroundings

Set just off of the main road, this quiet hotel is a lovely place for a getaway weekend or overnight for business, which was the reason for my visit. The restaurant overlooks some lovely gardens and countryside and a nice view whilst having breakfast. The menu is varied and not bad value for money and my room was nice and comfy. I'd definitely stay here again
