The property was convenient to downtown and easily walkable to OSF. My only real complaint is the flat pillows and hard beds which were in desperate need of replacement!

My wife and I love Ashland and like to take a few days each year to visit. The Stratford is perfect for walking downtown, to the park, shopping and restaurants. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. The lady in the breakfast room makes me think of family, she is so friendly and so ready to help. I love the fact that the pool and hot tub is open so late. If I could change one thing it would be a better breakfast. The only hot option is oatmeal.

I’ve stayed at this property a couple of times now, and I really love it. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is amazing. Plus the amenities are great too! I highly recommend staying here.

Nice folks. Great, easy check in. Wonderful breakfast. I would def. stay here again. My one complaint: Please clean mop heads better. The bathroom had that old urine smell. I travel with Lysol wipes, and went over the floor and toilet areas a few times. The place was obviously cleaned. It is likely about keeping mopeds clean. This is not the only hotel where this has occurred. I just don't think hotel folks really sensitize themselves enough to a creating really clean and clean-smelling bathrooms.

Over priced and very dated with hard beds and small, flat and hard pillows. I would have slept better in the back seat if my car. We paid $170 for a 2 queen bed room based on reviews. Clearly those were not written by guests. Find somewhere else to stay.

This was our first time visiting Ashland, and the Stratford Inn was the perfect place to stay. A little bit dated, but everything was clean. Really nice staff, very helpful. Within walking distance of downtown, but we choose to drive. Plenty of parking. Indoor pool and hot tub was really nice. Daily breakfast was just enough to get you going for the day, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, toast and bagels, with coffee and juice. Overall I would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay here again!

Easy walk to OSF.
We like this location for the price and easy walk to the Shakespeare Festival. Decent breakfast —- no hot options. Breakfast offered gluten-free bread, cereal, bagels and English muffins. Beds were pretty stiff. Nice size fridge and freezer in room.

Good place to stay
This is a quaint hotel in an Elizabethan style to match Ashland's Shakespeare festival. The rooms are a good size with a desk, office chair and overstuffed chair. There's a decent sized microwave. The mini frig has a freezer section big enough for our ice packs. The indoor pool and hot tub are small but available until 1am so you can time it to avoid crowds. The breakfast lacks hot food but has a good selection of cereals, a hot pot of oatmeal, and toasts. They have plain and vanilla yogurt with a variety of toppings including blueberries and granola. It's perfect for us. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Gaia at the front desk went out of the way to help us when we had an issue with our car
