Good hotel that has easy access to the mall with a walkway that leads right to the haram. The hotel rooms are nice but the bathrooms are small and not the cleanest, but I would still recommend the hotel. It’s our 4th visiting for Umrah over 2 years and we have always stayed at this hotel for to the convenience of walking distance to the haram and the mall. If you select half board, the breakfast and lunch options that they offer in the buffet are plentiful.

We’ve stayed at this property multiple times in the past, and it’s always a fantastic place to be. However, I have one complaint: the staff’s rudeness during breakfast hours. I understand that you’re fully booked and have a lot of foot traffic in the morning, but you need to plan better and teach your staff manners when interacting with guests. The staff was extremely busy and didn’t seem to try to listen to our requests. Dinner hour were good as expected. Thanks to Mr Ashraf ( New manager ) for his hospitality during dinner hours

This was our 3rd time at the hotel. Checked in and was given a room on the 2nd floor. As we entered the room, we could smell damp/mould mixed with cigarettes. I called to advise that the room needed to be changed and I was told to come down to reception. As I was given a new room, I thought it would be better however it was disgusting. I was told “all triple rooms are the same” and they were very keen to stop me from explaining the issues in the reception area. - The bathrooms were filthy and the shower stunk of urine. Every-time the shower was used the smell became stronger. - Shower stained and full of mould. - Bathroom door handle loose and could not be locked properly. - Curtains full of stains and dust. - Claimed to be a ‘city view’ room but looked directly in to rooms of another hotel. - Window ledges dirty and dusty. - Bed side table dirty. - Lamps full of dust and dirt. - Very noisy as the room was near the lift and the road outside was very loud all night. - Air con vents full of dust which left an awful smell. I addressed these problems with the staff on the first day to which they were very dismissive. I have stayed at this hotel twice before and this was my third occasion but it certainly will be the last. In general, the cleanliness was appalling and even asking the cleaners to clean was a great amount of hassle. The room got cleaned twice during our week stay despite cleaners always being on that floor.

Poor overall due to customer service
Not a good experience for a supposedly 5 star property. Reception staff not helpful, didn’t help when I asked for assistance to print my boarding pass or whe noi wanted to know where they had taken my luggage- you just get directed to someone else. Lifts were a big problem as on most occasions you’d have to change lifts to get to the reception area (they don’t come quickly). Cleaning staff were superb, friendly and helpful. Bathroom was very dated, the shower door waterproof strip kept coming off , my adult daughters couldn’t regulate the water temperature as it was very stiff so ended up scolding themselves every time they showered. I paid extra for a view but it was partially blocked so disappointed they gave me that room - they did have a room with a better view but chose not to give me that. Location is excellent and I think that’s why swissotel don’t care about customer service, they will always have a customer base so don’t need to try.
