Fantastic experience
It was great experience to stay at this hotel for five nights with the family everything was good from cleanliness to room services and from breakfast to dinner buffet was up to the standard. No doubt they have very frequent and on time shuttle service every 30 minutes but little advise for the families with young children and elderly people that distance from the bus stop near to harm entrance is challenging.

NOT GREAT:A genuine honest review of my experience
I wish I didnt have to write this, but unfortunately my experience at the Novotel Makkah was not a good one. I will say the staff were kind and responsive however the issue lies not with them but these 3 steps i believe anyone that wishes to stay here should first consider before booking. ESPECIALLY IF PERFORMING UMRAH 1. False advertisements without clarifications. ( they had ads all round the building promoting a buffet from 7-10pm. However when I came to the restaurant i was informed there was no buffet on. ( this should have been made clear and not advertised) knowing this I had eaten very little expecting a buffet, and in the end was forced to settle with in room dining, which had cost more than the buffet. 2. POOR TEMPERATURE REGULATION IN ROOMS. when arriving you are made to sign a contract which states, that if the heating is turned on at any point, Novotel has the right to deduct 5000 SAR from your booking account without your consent or the need to inform you. I found this very strange until I had entered the room and found it to be freezing. I had switched off the AC only to find that there is a truly cold draft coming from vents, which I cannot control. This is especially bad if you are in a state of Ihraam and are sensitive to the cold. 3. There is constant construction going on in the building/ area outside which makes getting sleep during the day a near impossibility. please be aware if you seek a comfortable stay, this is not the place.

Lovely stay as always. My second visit to Novotel and I’m not disappointed.. would be better if you could provide hair conditioner as well. Bus to the haram is brand new big and comfortable buses leaving for haram every half hr.room service and meals also pretty good. Novotel is a good choice
