Cherry Creek - restyled with guests in mind, by BMG

Private 2 bedroom getaway in heart of Blue Ridge Mountains. Stylish, fun "cottage" - we take glamping to a whole new level. Retreat nestled in a clearing sits at 3,000ft elevation. Two small, thoughtfully appointed bedrooms + sleeper sofa. Open concept living/kitchen area make most of long, narrow floor plan. Small, cute bathroom has tub/shower. Large windows look over large yard, deck w/gas grill, horseshoe pit, & gravel patio w/ fire ring. Stargaze far from city lights!

Cherry Creek Glamper has everything you need for a peaceful mountain getaway.

The two bedrooms have comfortable queen beds with nice linens and, while small, are also bright and cheerful. There is drawer space in each room for storage and a hanging rack with luggage shelf is provided in lieu of closets.

A fold out sofa with pillows and linens provides extra space for two more guests to sleep.

Our kitchen has a smooth top range, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster and is well stocked with cooking essentials. A gas grill is provided on the back porch.

The bathroom has a tub/shower combination, a large mirror and make-up mirror, and under cabinet storage. Towels and wash cloths are provided for each guest.

There is a gravel patio in the back with a fire ring, seating, and cafe lights. Also, there are large front, back, and side yards for guests to enjoy.

Unlimited wifi access is provided and is the highest speed offered in the area. It is traditional DSL service and may not be suitable for multiple streaming videos. For remote work, Zoom conferencing works most of the time, but can sometimes lag.

This is a glamorous single wide mobile home that has been given a lot of love and attention. It does have a few dents and dings on the exterior, mostly paneled walls, a narrow floor plan and slightly lower ceilings.

A through the wall packaged HVAC unit near the kitchen provides the main heating and cooling for the home. There is supplemental heating in each bedroom.

You will have access to the entire home, as well as the large yard space surrounding the cottage. Guests are asked to refrain from entering the woods behind the property or the field to the right of the driveway that is part of an adjoining neighborhood.

I will not be available in person during your stay, but can be reached via the airbnb app for any questions or concerns. Email and phone number will provided for emergency use.

Meadows of Dan is a quiet country town, yet still has the Blue Ridge Parkway running through downtown and is home to the world renowned Primland Resort. Two wonderful wineries, Chateau Morrisette and Villa Appalaccia, welcome visitors nearby. Historic Mabry Mill is just a few minutes drive up the parkway.

The charming downtown is just a few minutes away with Nancy's Candy Factory, Jane's Country Cafe, The Poor Farmer's Market, Primitive Coffee Shop, and a few other cute shops. A laundromat is attached to the Meadows of Dan Food Market if you need to do any wash during your stay.

The Blue Ridge Parkway runs through town and will take you to Mabry Mill just a few minutes up the road. The larger town of Floyd is a 30 minute drive north and has several restaurants and frequent live music including the famous Friday Night Jamboree at the Floyd Country Store. A 25 minute drive south leads you to the charming town of Stuart, VA with numerous restaurants, shops, and activities.

Despite a convenient location, there is very little light pollution making for amazing stargazing on clear nights. It's not unusual to see the Milky Way or shooting stars.

The Cherry Creek Glamper, while convenient to lots of activities, is set in a rural area. This provides a chance to "get away from it all." It also means that homes in the area are given quite different levels of care. Please know that you will be "out in the country" - usually for the better, but you will pass some homes on your drive in that need a little TLC :)
Just a few reminders:
1 - Pets allowed with permission, MAX 2 dogs, sorry NO cats.
2 - Absolutely NO Smoking of any kind
3 - Please do not move furniture
4 - Keep it clean. When you leave it should look the same as you entered, with the exception of bed linens and towels
5 - Remember it's our home, so treat it with respect
6 - The grill is propane.
7 - Bring your own wood and marshmallows for the firepit.
During your stay at this cottage, you'll be close to Nancy's Candy Company. Enjoy features like free breakfast. A kitchen and a balcony are available in the cottage.

Quiet location near Meadows of Dan
Cherry Creek Cabin is tastefully renovated and appropriately appointed. It is quiet, private, and conveniently located a few minutes from Meadows of Dan. The space is small but efficient. We were able to cook a nice Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen as it was well-outfitted with the equipment needed. While we didn’t spend a lot of time outside, there is a grill and fire pit area for outdoor relaxation. The owner is very responsive to questions and concerns, and they provided us with information about the area before we made our trip. I recommend this property, and I’d consider other properties owned by Buffalo Mountain Getaway in the future.

Nicely renovated!
Very nicely renovated single wide trailer. No detail was overlooked in the renovation and decorating. High end cabinets, flooring, great lighting, and even an iPhone charger was appreciated. For the area, it’s a little expensive compared to other rentals in MOD. Private setting, although there was some traffic coming through the shared driveway. It was very clean but I did find a few false eyelashes throughout the home and the fridge didn’t look like it had been wiped out. I would visit more often if it was priced more competitively as the location works very well for me.

Property was as advertised. Extremely clean and it felt more you were staying in a friends home than a VRBO. We stay in VRBO a couple times a year and it can be hit and miss. This was probably the best one ever as far as being clean and not run-down.
