Sunnydene is nestled in the idyllic village of Stanton in Peak, a sought-after location in the heart of the Peak District, close to Bakewell and Chatsworth. Surrounded by breath-taking countryside, the area offers fabulous walking routes straight from the doorstep, leading to scenic vistas and charming trails. Locally, you'll find welcoming pubs and restaurants, perfect for enjoying hearty meals or a well-earned drink. History buffs will be intrigued by the Nine Ladies Stone Circle (2 miles) dating from the early Bronze Age. For day trips, the historic market town of Bakewell (2.8 miles) offers vibrant shops and tempting eateries, and the stately Chatsworth House, with its stunning grounds, is just 5.5 miles away. Stanton in Peak truly combines tranquil, rural charm with easy access to some of Derbyshire's most famous attractions.
As you enter Sunnydene, you’re greeted by the delightful entrance hall, helpfully stacked with walking books and leaflets that feature local recommendations. Straight ahead is the stunning staircase, and to your left is the vibrant dining room. This warm and inviting space features seating for eight, cosy armchairs, and a wood burner to unwind by after a day spent exploring. To the right of the staircase is the creatively designed living room, where you’ll find comfortable seating, a Smart TV, games, and a second wood burner for extra cosiness. Flowing seamlessly from the living room is the well-equipped kitchen, boasting rural views and a breakfast bar for slow morning coffees. Beyond the kitchen is the utility room, perfect for cleaning muddy paws or taking care of the holiday laundry. Heading upstairs, you’ll find a modern family bathroom with a shower over the bathtub – ideal for soaking after long walks. To the left is the inviting king-size bedroom featuring an en-suite shower room. You’ll also find the comfortable double bedroom, with plenty of storage space on this floor.
