Beautiful hotel let down by the little things

Stunning location and building. Shame that the walls were so thin, you can hear everything in the rooms adjacent and above. I was also ill for a couple of days and it was a shame not to have wifi in the room or a tv with any English channels, there was a sky box but we were told this didn't work in any of the rooms. Wifi in the lobby was very slow, I would recommend investing in better wifi for future guests. The evening meal was €40 each excluding drinks, it wasn't worth the money, you had to help yourself to dessert and it was same pastries from breakfast - I would highly suggest the very short walk into the lovely town St Agatha where there are lots of fantastic restaurants.

Seven in Sant'agata

This hotel is perfectly situated above the town of Sorrento with a brilliant view. The village of Sant'agata has everything you need, including good restaurants, Lo Stuzzichinos, Buenas Aires, Mimis and La Cardillo were all good. The reception staff were all very helpful and when one of the transfers for a boat tour failed to pick us up arranged a rapid alternative and asked the boat to wait until the seven of us arrived. They also offered us upgrades to sea view rooms. The breakfast was tasty and fresh and have no issues with the variety. The rooms were all kept very clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Great Location

The double room we had was ideal, good bathroom and marvellous view over Sorrento to Mt Vesuvius. We went B+B so we could savour the local diners and were not disappointed, all within easy walking distance. The food at the hotel was good but the service at dinner left alot to be desired, 30mins wait for a bowl of soup, not good. The pool facilities and bar were well run by Rafael, probably the best of the staff, as the reception was solely lacking in providing information if you were not part of a tour package. Overall we had a lovely relaxing holiday and would return again.

Great location, mostly good but with a few issues

This is probably one of the best views of the Bay of Naples around, but I dont think that its a 4* hotel, definately 3* and we had a few issues. We are so glad that we paid the extra for a sea view, you may not like the others. Luckily we booked B&B so only ate in the restaurant for dinner once, on the first night. Other guests said that the food, even on their 'special' night was fairly average. _ Why can't the kitchen serve fresh fruits and juice for breakfast instead of tinned? They grow in abundance here! There are a few restaurants and bars in the lovely village at the back of the hotel. Most of the hotel staff were very friendly and fun, especially the 2 young ladies on reception and the waiters, but when we wanted some ice in a glass to take to our room, we were refused, firstly by the more mature (american?) lady on reception who informed us, quite curtly, that "Only the bar manager can serve ice and he is on his break at the moment. Please come back in 15 mins." !! (Dismissed!) Then, when we asked again after half an hour, the bar manager just simply refused.- The question was "Can we have some ice in a glass to take up to our room please?" The answer was "No!" He said this twice, as I could not believe it the first time and asked again. On questioning why not, I was told "You will have to pay for the ice" !! - How's that for 4* service? Hotel management, if you read this, please take note!! However, we did have a fantastic holiday in spite of this as the area is soo beautiful and so much to do and see. Must do's are the Amalfi coast and Positano, Boat to Capri for the day and of course Pompeii, Vesuvius and Herculaneum too if you are into history.

Perfect for adults

We choose the hotel on previous recommendations and would concur with everything said before. Really lovely hotel in the hills above Sorrento with fantastic views. Courtesy bus to/from Sorrento plus local bus stops to Sorrento and Amalphi coast. Hotel staff very nice. Only minor issue, no WiFi.

tres bon hotel

Tres bon hotel avec une vue magnifique piscine agréable, proche du centre avec restaurant. ideal pour faire les visistes de la cote, des sites (Pompei). Condition ideal hors saison.

confortable mais éloigné

Hotel d'un bon confort, au calme, avec une très jolie vue. Nombreux restaurants à proximité. Situation éloignée de Sorrento. Navette de bus à disposition mais horaires limitées. Autres possibilités d'aller en ville : bus de ville mais indications pas toujours très claires. Prévoir 20-30 min pour aller à Sorrento. Avant notre départ, la réception d'un email décrivant comment accéder à l’hôtel (navettes ou horaires bus de ville) aurait été le bienvenu.

un hotel à recommander

nous avons passé un excellent séjour. le personnel est accueillant et polyglotte. les chambres sont très propres et spacieuses. La vue sur la baie de Naples et le Vésuve est magnifique. Ne pas hésiter à payer le surcoût (20€ par nuit) pour en bénéficier. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est bien fourni. Attendez vous à entendre le chant du coq à 5 heures du matin. Quand on n'est pas habitué, ça réveille mais au bout de quelques nuits, on oublie. Attention de ne pas être situé trop près de l’ascenseur car il sonne quand il arrive à l'étage. Pour les personnes à mobilité réduite: il y a beaucoup de marches. Les espaces communs (salons, piscine, terrasse) sont vraiment agréables. nous sommes revenus enchantés. Un excellent rapport qualité/prix!
