Why do I have to pay a extra 12£ at hotel when I already paid for my stay with Expedia and they claim it’s city tax is not true there is no such a thing in France I ask the local authorities they said we do t have this kind of tax here Is just a rip off that’s all

The hotel has nice staff and it's an excellent value for money - but the neighborhood is a little on the rough side. The train station is easily walkable from the hotel and you can walk to other areas of Marseille easily. The room itself wasn't huge, but plenty of space to walk around the bed and there was a tub in the bathroom.

Hotel is close to main railway station and buses. Staff are nice. Breakfast could be more interesting but there is plenty of food. Japanese toilets! Decent shower, good WiFi, extremely comfy bed. Hotel itself feels entirely safe, however surrounding area feels decidedly dodgy. Would not have wanted to be out alone at night. I would stay here again as it was very convenient for transport options but if i was in town for a few days i would look for a hotel elsewhere- which is a shame because the hotel itself is nice.

This place felt like a motel for transient and most of the tourists looked scared. There was even security officer in the dinning room during breakfast (which is included). As long as your are aware of what to expect, it could be economical if you are traveling in a group for safety. Not for a solo traveler!

The hotel inside was great, clean, comfortable, best bathroom, i really like thrle staff, they were great! The only issue was strange people loitering around the building that were just sitting around not doing much. I think thats a city problem which was everywhere in Marseille.
