From April to June, you can raft 21 miles down the Carson River, with a special treat at the halfway point—a natural hot spring right along the riverbank, perfect for a relaxing soak amid breathtaking scenery.
For those who love scenic drives, Markleeville is the gateway to two of the most spectacular mountain routes in the Sierra Nevada:
